What is the point of taking steroids ?

I am banned!
I HAVE DONE A TON OF RESEARCH , and come to the conclusion that anabolic steroids are a complete waste of time and money. I do not see any pics of you guys after long after cessation of steroids who have KEPT ANY OF THEIR GAINS , and if they have , they are very little , and would have been achieved just from training natural . You all show photos of your results just after stopping your cycle because that's the short time you have to show off YOUR TEMPORARY RESULTS. Once you deflate over time, thats when you go on your next cyce. PROVE ME WRONG WITH YOUR POSTS PLEASE AND MAKE ME EAT MY WORDS. I wish you did , because I want to try gear , but what's the point if you lose most of it months down the road ?

Steroids have their place and are used as tools to enhance muscle recovery, increase athletic capacity, and
increase diet efficiency. The people that should be using them, should be using them for a very specific purpose.

Professional altheles, of course, use them for increased athletic performance and muscle recovery.
People that have suffered certain injuries or diseases (AIDS, burn patients, and others) use them
to get back to their previous physical condition or keep their physical conditions from getting worse.
And of course, you can't forget bodybuilders and power-lifters they use steroids for their very specific goals in mind.

Now on the other hand, if you are talking about regular Joe Schmoe or all the little teenagers that just want a beach body for spring break, then yes, I agree that they don't need to be using these drugs that could create very serious side effects for no
reason at all except to just look good at the beach. They could achieve those results through natural training and diet.

I am sure others can chime in and give more examples or more detailed explanations, as I am still half asleep.

Steroids are used to go beyond your genetic potential. If you can't achieve your maximum without using steroids you shouldn't use them period. Most of the guys that lose "all their gains" shouldn't be using them in the first place. They can be a great tool but you can't keep more muscle than what your body can support hormonally.

With all due respect , you're talking as if you're reading a script..it's all jibber jabber to me...what's "go beyond your genetic potential" ? That again means nothing if you are back to normal after you stop using gear. So what if you gain massive strenght and gain 30 pounds..if you lose it , what's the point ? To say to your family and friends "hey look what I used to look like back then"...you're just setting yourself up for a psycological fuck up because you'll never reach that size again without the drugs. SO AGAIN WHAT'S THE POINT ? PROVE ME WRONG PLEASE

Prove you wrong with what?

Your genetic potential would refer to what your body can maintain naturally, going beyond would be supplementing with additional hormones to achieve mass you can't under regular circumstance.

There is no point unless you either plan on 1: Being on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) after cycling or 2: Competing for a contest.

Steroids shouldn't be used by stupid kids looking to 1: Get a six pack or 2: Lose weight because they are too lazy.

Just my 2 cents of "jibber jabber"

your a fucking retard. yes your right steriods are a waste of time so dont ever touch them then and then go cry about how much bigger guys are in the gym then you

Ok number one, thats rude of you to talk like that , so I will have to give you a negative rep...no big deal...number two - yes , the guys in the gym will be bigger than me , but does that really matter ? They will lose their gains once they stop...and they have to stop eventually to protect their health...we all know long term use of anabolic steroids is detrimental to health..why would I cry ? Are you that obsessed with being bigger that you'd actually cry when you see bigger guys than you ? Not me...besides, women dont like big beefy meatheads ( at least the quality ones don 't ) SO AGAIN I ASK....what's the point of taking anabolic steroids if you lose the gains ?

You won't lose all your gains, if you are at 160 and know how to train and diet then you can keep them. But at 160lbs you probably don't know how to since you are 160 :) Anyway you could gain up to 180-190 and maintain it naturally but again, it depends on your training and diet later. Most guys stop the dieting and training so they lose it.

No magic pill in a bottle here bud, sorry

No , you make sense..you are correct in saying there is no point for AAS for the purpose of "looking good" only. It is only temporary unless you want to ruin your health over time to look good

Ok now were getting somewhere...so think about this ....you say you CAN keep your gains ? How is that possible if you dont start gear until youve reached your genetic potential ? Wouldn't the opposite apply ? Using steroids to reach your genetic potential , then going off them and maintaning that newly aquired size ?

bro if your against them, why are you here? Some people completely dedicate there life to bodybuilding so gear can help them reach limits that they cant get to naturally. Some people use it for TRT. Some people use them like idiots!

Also most gains are def. kept after cycle as long as your diet is right, proper post cycle therapy (pct), and you work just as hard as it was was to earn them. The people you see losing all there gains are the people that take them for spring break to look good, and once there happy with there results, stop working out, drinking, some dont even do a correct PCT! How do you expect to hold gains after a cycle.

I am not against them if you can keep the gains..I just want proof that you can keep the gains ...if they can be kept , I'll take gear myself

You need to work on your rudeness as well as your grammar please..who said anything about being scared ?...I need you people to read my posts and THINK and process what I'm saying

It's about personal choice. I've haven't done artificial steroids but I have done bio identical testosterone and its more than just muscle gains. Sure there's that but it's also better moods, more confidence, increased libido and I don't care what anyone says chicks notice. I'm 45 and when I was on 400 ng cyp and looking muscular I noticed that women noticed. So you are correct, you will lose the benefit when you go off but you get the benefit when you're on. So enjoy it. Be responsible and if its not for you then don't try it. But from experience if you do, you'll like it. Again at least with test. I can't speak for anything else.
