What is the point of taking steroids ?

You need to work on your rudeness as well as your grammar please..who said anything about being scared ?...I need you people to read my posts and THINK and process what I'm saying

i think your still retarded if you believe steriods with the proper diet, training and pcts cannot maintain gains after cycle.

It's a personal choice to be on gear. No one should try to convince you do to it. Sit down and think long and hard about whether you want to do it or not. Do your own research... No gains are permanent, nothing is.... The body will deteriorate overtime eventually. We are all born weak, we all die weak, its what you do do in between what matters. Good luck on your decision.

It's about personal choice. I've haven't done artificial steroids but I have done bio identical testosterone and its more than just muscle gains. Sure there's that but it's also better moods, more confidence, increased libido and I don't care what anyone says chicks notice. I'm 45 and when I was on 400 ng cyp and looking muscular I noticed that women noticed. So you are correct, you will lose the benefit when you go off but you get the benefit when you're on. So enjoy it. Be responsible and if its not for you then don't try it. But from experience if you do, you'll like it. Again at least with test. I can't speak for anything else.

I've researched lots and never heard of "bio identical testosterone" What is that ?

It s all about choices in life, right ?

And I chose to take them I as I wanted to "win". And in my chosen competitve sports of plfting and bbdg it was a NECESARY facet of my life to take them. for whenI was 20-26 year old, powerlifting in the 181 and 198 s without them I would not have stood a shot of even placing .

As a bodybuilder I took them to get to 220 in the off season to walk on stage a ripped up 202 and either placed or WON in every show I entered from 1986 to 1990. My era of "biggness" culminated with winning Mr. xxx xxxx in a state level body building show and then placed top 3 in a collegiate national. Following that I dropped to 197.9 and walked with 2 1st place powerlifting trophies...and 3 other top 3 finishes

21 years later I m on trt. Would I be on it anyway as I m almost 50...I think so but we ll never know.

I salute any o p who generates good debate....but ripping on people s informed concious right to decide what to do with themselves will not be tolerated.

Ya ll mind your manners and we ll let this run it s course.

I would start off my doing more research of peoples cycle logs of before and after pics, as i have seen some people going as far as posting 6 months later after a cycle to record there losses and gains. Aain if yoiet correcty, work hard, and post cycle therapy (pct) correctly you will retain gains. Sowater will be lost after cycle though. Even without the use of steroids, without a proper diet ,training, rest you natural gains wont be kept.

Are you saying if I come off a cycle and keep working out , I will deteriorate over time ? According to KingBF , I wont..how can I make an informed decision if one guy says one thing and another says something different ? You gotta see where I'm coming from..trying to find out answers but everybody has conflicting answers

You know what ? In your instance I totally understand the need to take them to compete...nothing wrong with that IMO because you had a goal to achieve. Kudos. I have not dissed anyone on here because they choose to do the juice. I am trying to understand why they do it if it's not permanent. My goal would be to gain 20 lbs of solid mass and keep it. Is it possible on roids is my question...even if it takes a few cycles

That's a good point which I wasn't aware of..that even without roids your gains wont be kept without everything in place..puts things into more prospective..thanks bro, that IS a good point

I gained 45-50 pounds over 5 years and now am able to maintain 25 pounds over my natty weight of 175ish, through minding my diet and weight training for 1 hour 4-5 day s a week.

So...Yes..it is..i m o .

You are on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) ...what are the numbers from your bloodwork these days if I may ask ?

OP, don't be hating on the ones that actually know what they are doing. when I read your first opening post, i could see you feet stamping up in down.

I HAVE DONE A TON OF RESEARCH

No you have not. Do an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) through your whole cycle followed by a good PCT and keep your diet top notch=keeping all your gains.

And dont hate on the people in here who actually do it right...there are tons and tons of morons at the gym(see my gym rant thread) who are all on oral only cycles and have no clue what test or pct is....THOSE are the people who loose all their gains and should just stay natural...do not compare us to them.

its a life style, you quit working out you will loose it also, you use steroids and maintain it and dont abuse it you will keep and be heathly...for instance, look at hulk hogen, thats his lifestyle,he maintains his physic...its all about if your are serious or just want to hit the gym a few times a year..i have been working out for23 years,im now 38..i dont abuse gear,i just take alittle to get extra edge and have never really been a guy that wants to be huge..i started taking gear 10 years ago and always was accused of taking gear when i had never done it cause i worked my ass off in the gym...like i said its a lifestyle man,its what you make it,and yes you can keep 70%of your gains when you stop taking gear if you stay at it and now what you are doing when you stop taking it.

Trust me , I have...but research is no good to me if half the people say you'll keep the gains and half say you'll lose most of them...was off work from December on and watched countless YouTube videos , Googled hundreds of articles , and read forum posts in that time . THATS A TON OF RESEARCH...not hating , just tired of hearing conflicting opinions while keeping an open mind...appreciate your input and will take a look at your gym rant thread

Try it yourself then. Like I said, take a good Aromatase inhibitor (AI), and PCT and see what you keep.

Even if you do loose some(lets say you slack off diet a bit) you will still be a lot stronger and bigger than you were naturally....lets say you're 180. after cycle you're 200. let say you loose some and you're 189......189 is still bigger than 180. But that is worst case scenario, you should always strive to keep your gains.

Oh and upon initially reading the gym rant post...I am aware of ICECREAMFITNESS ..I have seen numerous videos of his...you don't agree with him which is understandable , so I hope you can understand my frustration of all the conflicting stories I hear

Gladly...

A normal testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose with my doc is 200 mg test c e o week = 960 plus on a scale of 220 -1000

I self administer with his approval. 125 a week has me at 1165 ish on his 220-1000 scale. And I like it.

My bloods are damn near perfect except for a slightly increaed e2, lipoid s recquire fish oil, niacin and aerobics to maintaoin optimum ratio s. I enjoy a little high e2..the slight bloat makes me feel full, helps store electro lytes and aids in my aching joints.

I ll happily answer any questions if it helps you or others exercise their right to make their own choice regarding hormonal augmentation.

If your training and diet is shit, you won't keep your gains, its pretty straightforward. When you get to your PCT your need to train just as hard as when you were on cycle, its sucks, and its rough, but its worth it, and its only for a month normally. You might increase your BF% somewhere down the road, it happens to the best of us, but all it takes is a good old cut to get nice and lean and looking buff again.
