I didnt even read the last two pages of this insightful and well thought conversation...Here is how it works smoky my little friend, When one takes anabolic steroids they are synthetically increasing their hormonal uptake of testosterone to the applicable adrogen receptors. Why you ask? Testosterone is the male hormone responsible for secondary sexual characteristics and muscle growth synthesis...If you do not have adequate levels of T in you system it really doesnt matter if you work out like an animal all the time and do all the things you should, you will not grow. Not at any notable rate anyway.
SOOO, why do steroids? By increasing levels of T in the body you are able to build muscle faster, thats the laments version.
"Well im worried i wont keep my gains blah blah"
You are alright to think that way to a certain point...But let me ask you...Does someone who works out naturally to attain there goals maintain all of their gains once they stop and sit on the couch for 6 months and eat candy? No, they do not
Does one retain all of their mass from a buling steroid cycle? No, and there are reasons for this such as water weight, diet, training intensity and other factors.
However, when done properly and not abused supplemental anabolic hormone use can and does provide permanent results.
One may indeed "gain" 25-30 lbs on a larger anabolic cycle and then months after lose much of their gains, this happens for several reasons some of which are listed above, again however, of the 25-30 lbs the said person has gained they are fully capable and able to keep and maintain about 40-50 percent of clean healthy mass. So if you are to do a 12 week cycle and put on 30 lbs, dont go running out and buying a new wardrobe just yet hulkster, you may expect to keep 12-15 lbs and for many that is considerable when you factor taht many have maxed out their natural potential before using aas.
Hope this helps...
