You're describing what I just mentioned in my previous post: a pulmonary oil embolus. You had a generalized, reactive pulmonary vasoconstriction, with an acute increase in pulmonary vascular resistance, putting a huge (but temporary) strain on the right ventricle of the heart. In someone with heart disease or a congenital defect, this could result in an AMI (heart attack). Probably experienced some secondary pulmonary edema, too (fluid in the alveoli or air sacs, hence the shortness of breath).
I hope everyone sees your post; this is nothing to fuck around with when you're injecting oils!! Aspirate, and then don't move it around while injecting.

I have injected so many times over my 13 years of cycling and only hit a vein once. I did aspirate, as I ALWAYS do, and stopped immediately. No oil was injected, but I was freaked out when I drew back (aspirated) the plunger and saw the syringe fill up with dark red blood. I just withdrew it, injected the blood into a cotton ball ...
Blood (water based) and oil don't mix very well, but I agree that you would probably be fine if you injected your own blood, but I would still do what Spartie did. I have no desire to inject my own blood into one of my muscles. The temperature of the blood would have already been falling anyway, and the blood probably starts to clot very quickly, although maybe in minuscule amounts. Anyway, better safe than sorry when it comes to injecting something into the body.Golgo13 said:Why did you do that?
I would just reinject with a fresh pin, but having blood in it wouldn't matter... I mean it IS your blood.
blood clots because of platelets and such which act to close a wound there is no problem with reinjecting your own blood... it's not going to clot in your muscles or something it will just be reabsorbed... ive hit two veins in my two cycles and i just pulled out moved and reinjected... didn;t feel any different or anything (might have actually hurt less because they kinda mixed) but its all goodmranak said:Blood (water based) and oil don't mix very well, but I agree that you would probably be fine if you injected your own blood, but I would still do what Spartie did. i think most people usually bleed minimally when they inject... it's normal think about it you are going through several layers of your body when you inject... the blood could have pushedo ut a minimal amount of juice but i woudn;t be concenred with the amount lost.... another thing which could have happend would be that you passed through a veing going in and when you pulled out the blood came out... it's no biggie i passed through a veing once and had blood shoot out of my leg like a foot (just a spurt but talk abotu scary lol)youngblood said:Tonight i was giving myself my fourth injection ever. When i withdrew a small amount of blood leaked out but it was enough to go from my tricep to my elbow......is this normal usually i just withdraw and theres a tiny prick of blood? could the oil have leaked out with the blood?
