What really happens if you inject into a vein?

Test is best in test.
Im wondering what really happens if you inject an oily solution such as test cyp into a vein?

Thanks SC Ive read it, several times actually, but Im still wondering what actually happens when you do inject into a vein - and what can yuo do about it. Like, what would a nurse do if she accidently made a mistake and injected IV...

And if youve managed to survive the IV injection, is the Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) wasted? Or do you need to reshoot IM?

I hit a nerve last night and it was no big deal, but Im still worried about hitting a vein, I do aspirate, but as theyve said, you can still fuck up and get it IV by accident.

In the first post on that thread, Buffdoc talks about exactly that;

You're describing what I just mentioned in my previous post: a pulmonary oil embolus. You had a generalized, reactive pulmonary vasoconstriction, with an acute increase in pulmonary vascular resistance, putting a huge (but temporary) strain on the right ventricle of the heart. In someone with heart disease or a congenital defect, this could result in an AMI (heart attack). Probably experienced some secondary pulmonary edema, too (fluid in the alveoli or air sacs, hence the shortness of breath).
I hope everyone sees your post; this is nothing to fuck around with when you're injecting oils!! Aspirate, and then don't move it around while injecting.

...acute increase in pulmonary vascular resistance, putting a huge (but temporary) strain on the right ventricle of the heart...

How temporary is that? For 1 minute?

If youre injecting very slowly, like taking a minute or so, would you feel if youre inside a vein before the entire solution is in the blood?!

I imagine it takes at least 5 minutes for the oil injected into a vein to circulate into your lungs, maybe less, but at least 5 minutes to feel the affects.

I have injected so many times over my 13 years of cycling and only hit a vein once. I did aspirate, as I ALWAYS do, and stopped immediately. No oil was injected, but I was freaked out when I drew back (aspirated) the plunger and saw the syringe fill up with dark red blood. I just withdrew it, injected the blood into a cotton ball, changed needles (fresh one) and re-injected into another spot. No big deal, but freaky at first. Imagine if I hadn't aspirated...that would have sucked given it was 3cc's!!

I also imagine that the affects of an oil embolism are more than just several minutes. Cottonseed oil is pretty thick and viscous, so it will take awhile to clear your lungs, especially if it enters the air sacs deep in your lung tissue. Don't let this freak you out, if you aspirate you have nothing to worry about!

Thanks for the reply Spartie, but I am a bit freaked out already Im afraid.

I would just like to know as much as possible in case it happens, Ive only done 3 injections sofar, hitting a nerv once meaning Ive just pricked myself 4 times - so I dont have much experience.

If your lungs start to feel like shit, should you just throw yourself on the phone and call 911 or wont it matter really, perhaps you should just lay down and hope youre still alive after 5 minutes?!

Its too bad what we're doing is illegal coz I would love to just have my doctor do the injections.

You are over thinking it BLUP...just aspirate and you will be fine!
If you aspirate each time then you will not inject into a vein...trust me!
I have done this for so long and have never injected into a vein, it is safer than you are imagining.

Why did you do that?

I would just reinject with a fresh pin, but having blood in it wouldn't matter... I mean it IS your blood.

Blood (water based) and oil don't mix very well, but I agree that you would probably be fine if you injected your own blood, but I would still do what Spartie did. I have no desire to inject my own blood into one of my muscles. The temperature of the blood would have already been falling anyway, and the blood probably starts to clot very quickly, although maybe in minuscule amounts. Anyway, better safe than sorry when it comes to injecting something into the body.

Tonight i was giving myself my fourth injection ever. When i withdrew a small amount of blood leaked out but it was enough to go from my tricep to my elbow......is this normal usually i just withdraw and theres a tiny prick of blood? could the oil have leaked out with the blood?

blood clots because of platelets and such which act to close a wound there is no problem with reinjecting your own blood... it's not going to clot in your muscles or something it will just be reabsorbed... ive hit two veins in my two cycles and i just pulled out moved and reinjected... didn;t feel any different or anything (might have actually hurt less because they kinda mixed) but its all good

i think most people usually bleed minimally when they inject... it's normal think about it you are going through several layers of your body when you inject... the blood could have pushedo ut a minimal amount of juice but i woudn;t be concenred with the amount lost.... another thing which could have happend would be that you passed through a veing going in and when you pulled out the blood came out... it's no biggie i passed through a veing once and had blood shoot out of my leg like a foot (just a spurt but talk abotu scary lol)
