What technique best for growth

When bulking up what training method would be best. Either low rep/high weight or supersets and drop sets.

Has any1 experienced better results with either techniques or both.
 
I subscribe to the school that believes size follows strength so if you can get more than 8 reps its probly too light. More importantly you want to make sure your workout routine revolves around the big compound movements (squat, dead, bench..) and that you are eating mass quantities. Do those two and you will begin to scare people...
 
I second the low rep with 4-5 sets. But I always have to mix it up or my muscles get stale. Like right now my team has been on a set program for the last month and a half and my bench has actually dropped because I've been doing the same reps and sets. Thank god we are on our own now, now I can get my bench back up.
 
I like the 5x5 routine for gaining mass. I don't mean doing 5 sets of 5 reps for everything, I mean the Starr routine. Single factor 5x5 is sufficient when just starting out.
