What was your best diet plan?

Whenever I need to diet down or just lose a few lbs I like to try a different diet than I have done before. Mainly just to see how my body reacts to it. Everyone's is always completely different, what works for someone may not always work for another.
So, I thought I'd take a poll, what would you say has been the best weight loss/cutting diet for you?
 
Really!? I was just checking out that diet and was really intrigued my it. How did you find your energy levels for training on this diet?

I was on a keto diet/protein vegetable days for 16 weeks and my energy level was great (until about the week prior to my contest, with 2.5 hours of cardio a day). Usually when I'm dieting I am exhausted all of the time, but not with this diet. Also, I am a student, and I was taking a full time semester and maintained a 3.5 GPA, which may not sound like it matters, but usually my grades fall and my concentration is lacking with other diets I've tried. I've been doing this for 7 years and so far keto has worked the best for me.
 
I do carb cycling but I do it one day on one day off. It's different than most but works great and I don't suffer.
 
I'm a fan of carb cycling as well. Whenever I test out a just low carb or keto diet I find that I tend to get a little grumpy :s

I am doing a 2 day carb cycle written by Layne Norton for me. I went from 147 to 135. I am doing terrific on it. I got thru some rough spots but now accepted this is it. I am just about at goal. The change in my body getting off this weight is really better than anything I have done. My muscle are showing and its inspiring to keep going. However the negitive is, now the old addict behavior is coming back and IM thinking ummmm Im almost at goal, time for some winstrol. I cant help my sick mind. I quess its better than crack cocaine. So I plan on getting to a low point of that scale and hitting a low dose one week at a time Winstrol (winny). For now the diet is working 5 days low carb/ 2 days higher carbs.

my plan was to drop weight, and then start a cycle of winstrol at a lower weight on the scale. So now I wont care if I gain 10 lbs. Before when I did winstrol I was lets say about 145, so weight went higher. Sure I gained muscle but weight was too high for my liking. So I swore I would hit a lower weight like 130 and then gain 10 lbs and not care!!!! Does that make sense??? Right now I am just getting the last few lbs off, went from 147 to 135. The more I drop , the better off I am to hit it and not worry about the scale. Make sense??????? Good plan or just flat out stupid in your opinion????? I would love to know?

Your answer doesn't make sense to me Steve. What do you want to use Winstrol for? Cutting? Or Bulking? That's what I wanted to know. And how long has it been since you last cycled?

well let me explain what I am thinking. Ok, I am on that weight loss plan by L. Norton. I am at a calorie deficit. I am losing weight and probably a little muslce too. I am almost at goal. I have went from 147 actually started in Jan. at 155 and now 135. I plan on hitting around 130. However I plan on taking winstrol not caring if I dont lose weight /or gain weight but staying on Layne Norton's calorie deficit diet. So if I do wind up gaining weight on Winstrol (winny) I dont care. The main thing is diet is in order, weight is low on scale, bf is lower than the last time I did Winstrol (winny) so I am in a much better position this time. Its been over I think 5 months since I messed with it last time and I was too fat. This time looks better for me.

MM, you really always are the voice of reason, so what should I do. Finish the weight loss and then start a bulk?? I would like more muscle! Like I said last time I was TOO fat for steriods!!!!They did the trick, but I was a chubette for a while.

How can I cut with Winstrol (winny)? I thought even this steriod I would gain weight? I seem to gain weight on these things. However I will be in a calorie deficit on this cycle. What do you thinK? Bad idea?

Actually the more I read my own post I guess I am still looking for the impossible . You see I would like more muscle but hate the huge weight gain. So I am looking for a no more than 8 lbs weight gain around but eating at a calorie deficit.

YOU ALWAYS MAKE ME REALLY THINK, and your right , I cant have both. This sucks. Because the more weight I lose , the more I think I am shrinking and in some ways I look great but in some ways I dont want to compromise anymore muscle. I guess I am still under that MAGICAL idea that I can gain muscle and not gain weight!! HA!!

It sucks that I have to gain weight in order to gain muscle. However I have no problem now gaining weight this time because I have lost so much. My thinking is flawed because I am eating only 1485 /1785 calories. carb cycle thats why the different numbers.

I SEE WHAT YOUR GETTING AT!! What can I do??????? I dont want to lose anymore muscle, so I figured I would jump on and enjoy the ride.

Steve, my advice to you... throw away your damn scale and stop worrying about weight and worry about how you look. I have asked this question of a million people, but I'll ask you.

If you start at 150lbs, train hard and diet properly (key word here) for 6 months. After 6 months you look unbelievable, clothes fit better, body is tight and ass is up where it belongs (lol), but you step on the scale and you were still 150lbs.... would you give a fuck? Most would say no. If you said yes, you have deeper body image issues than any of us can help you with.

You're missing the point. Guys and girls work the same way. Here's an example, married or not, cause we all like attention from having a nice physique.

No woman has ever turned down sex with a guy she wanted to fuck because he couldn't bench 450lbs.

in the same regard, no guy looks at a girl with a fine ass body and after hearing her weight says "OMG, you weigh 160lbs, no way I'm hitting that!!"

I could show you pics of my wife at 160lbs and you would shit. Cuz to your average woman, 160lbs is a ton. And my wife is just shy of 5'6".

Everyone is so wrapped up in weight all the time. Throw that scale in the attic and start paying attention to an accurate measure of your success. BF% and measurements (dress sizes).

i said nothing about eating nor fucking the scale. Just throw it away (unless ur into that sort of thing).
