What's the best time to get BW on TRT

Hey guys,

I'm starting to feel really good on trt 100mg split twice a week. I think last week I crashed my e2 because I started having knee pain on both knees. I've decided not to use an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) for a few weeks until my e2 goes up. When would be the best time to get BW? Should I get blood work the day of my injection before I inject?

I'm looking to find out the best time to give me a clear picture of my levels.

Thanks

After the initial start of TRT you can get bloods done after 4-6 weeks following a constant schedule. If you follow a twice a week injection schedule your serum levels will be pretty stable no matter what day of the week you are injecting your testosterone. Remember that although individual injections will peak, in the grand scheme of things you are still metabolizing testosterone from your 3-4 previous injections as well.

What are you referring to checking? Estrogen and testosterone only?

If you crashed your e2 you might want to follow a constant schedule for a while before testing. Perhaps being under the care of a physician with expertise in the area would help you so you are not "crashing your e2" it makes life miserable and defies the goal of consistent hormones. It's comparable to the advantage of the ups and downs of a female's hormone cycle and their mood swings. That is what you are simulating by creating the ups and downs with your e2, something that is not advisable.

I plan to get estradiol, total testosterone, free test, shbg, prolactin, and hematocrit. I really want to make sure what level my estradiol is at. That way I can decide whether to use an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). I am injecting twice a week for the purpose of more stable levels and less e2 spikes to hopefully avoid an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) altogether. I am under the care of a physician, but he doesn't believe in AI's unfortunately so I had to get one myself. I'm currently using aromasin but will get some adex on hand just in case. I'd love to be part of a trt clinic, unfortunately I'm under 30 yrs of age so that is out of the question.

If my e2 crashed, how long would it take to get back to normal on a low/starting dose of trt like 100mg/week?

I definitely would but I'm pretty sure I'd have to be at least 30 yrs old. If I could do it now, IMT would be my first choice.

Sorry to hijack I can't send a pm. Any chance you can PM me your doctor? I'm in NoVa and my dr. Only writes for creams and I'm tired of being so careful around the family.

Thanks

No problem someguy. Anyways if my issue is low e2, is there a way to increase your estradiol quickly? I've heard that once you crash it, it is hell for most people who dont convert to e2 very easily. Would increasing the dose temporarily help increase estradiol. For example, my dose right now is 100mg, if my dr agrees could i increase mt test to 200 maybe for a week or two until I start getting an erection again, and then dropping it back to 100mg. I want to do this in a way that is safe.

Thanks everyone.
