when to take hcg does it help post cycle

So a buddy of mine is convinced we need to take hcg post cycle so just to make sure I have a good argument will someone enlighten me as to what exactly it does and wether or not to use it during post he watched a rich piana video and hes convinced we shoukd do what rich piana does

hCG mimics LH which is put out by your pituitary gland. LH tells the testicles to make testosterone. Just like most things, if your body is getting it exogenously it will stop endogenous production. Thus taking hCG is suppressive to your HPTA.
