Where has this Ben Paluski guy been all my life??

carverelli

I am banned!
Been watching some of his videos thd last few days. I've learned a ton about this craft of building muscle through 'time under tension' and other techniques. This guy is terrific teacher and seems to know what he's talking about.

Btw, zilla thanks for the idea of thd guillotine presses. I tried them last night with my chest/tricep workout and definitely felt a difference from bar benching. I used the smith machine mostly for safety but really liked the smoothness of it as well. I've been lifting on and off for better than 3 decades and I'd like to think I'm still teachable on different ways to build a decent physique.

Way better approach then just moving the weight from point A to point B--
Bpak is the man and is sincerely interested in helping guys build muscle,, not just showing up for vids or teaching just for attention like other pros do

This guy's videos combined with rips thread of knowledge have upped the quality of my training 10 fold. Form form form and knowing the types of muscle your working proper reps to stimulate them.

Thank God I found this forum!!#

Ben's a genuinely knowledgeable guy when it comes to training methods.

As for jerry ward, he fits into the rich piana camp - interesting stories based on his experiences, but absolutely should NOT be relied on for anything if your interested in learning.

I first started watching Jerry's channel because he talked about a lot of interesting subjects that others didn't.
Then I wished he didn't bother.
You cannot make videos about a bunch of interesting subjects if you don't actually have any knowledge about that particular subject - Jerry does this ALOT.

I'm saying all this because your a self confessed noob man - don't look to jerry if your interested in educating yourself :)

Hmm I remember maybe in Generation Iron or something that Ben likes to really focus on the science behind it all, then Branch goes off saying theres no secret formula or equation...

Might have to look into his videos, my training sure can use a real adjustment.

He was in that movie. Branch cant really talk smack about Ben, he might be more successful financially but certainly doesnt even come close to how Ben looks. And beating him in comps really doesnt mean anything when you look how messed up the sport is in that aspect.

Ive watched a number of videos of Branch training, Jackson too and fuck man, thats asking to get injured. I mean look at how many injuries Branch has had, its no wonder! My shoulders hurts watching those videos. Hard work is great but efficient work at least IMO is much better.

I used to watch a lot of pros' videos and have respect for them but the further along I get in this game myself the more I realise that all they do for the most part is put on a show and throw all these big weights with shit form. Most of them dont give two shits about helping anyone else understand how thing actually are ya know.

Ben P was in generation iron and that had machines hooked up to him while he was training. Was pretty interesting. And he's also with allmax, makes him that much cooler...

Edit: he's actually not with allmax anymore. After placing 7th at Arnold classic he signed with scitec
