Whey Protein vs Mass Gainer

Everytime I grab some mass gainer I put on 5-8 pounds....on my GUT. I've found everyone I use is full of garbage for calories and fkin sugar. Make your own weight gain shakes with eggs, peanut butter, fruit, grinded oatmeal.
 
I have a hook up for ultimate nutrition, allegedly they just fall off the truck..or production line. The ISO mass by UN has 650 cals , 5grams of sugar and 7 grams of fat which I thought was relatively low for a shake of that size
 
i incorporate 2 mass gainer shakes per day in my diet.....i use Optimum Nutrition's Pro Complex Gainer, i mix it with skim milk,2 scoops of the pro complex gainer and 1 cup of oatmeal.I take it after my post workout meal,later in the afternoon and also again 2 hours after my supper....its the best gainer ive used,i just like its profile better,more of the calories comes from the proteins,rather than the carbs,thats why i add the oatmeal to mine,plus it doesnt have but 6g of sugar,and thats a plus for me,i like it better than any other gainer out there,it fits my program better

Got my eye on this. Taking in around 4600/4700 calories with 400g/protein and 480g carbs a day. Maybe gonna try 1 or 2 a day

That one doesn't agree with me, makes me a fart machine.

I prefer MHP Up Your Mass. 510 calories, 46g protein, 11g of fat (all EFA's and MCT's), 58g carbs (barley, oats and oat fiber), 1g of sugar and 12g of fiber to keep ya pooping!

That's what I bought. I only chug it down when I'm at work and need to get my quick calories out of the way.

Tastes awesome but it is a HUGEEE scoop so make SURE you have a big ol' protein shaker.

I drink it in like 1 minute due to it tasting good and easy to get down and I am very girly about my protein shakes. Hate nasty shit or clumpy shit.

it mixes easy,it doesnt have alot of calories for a gainer,only 650,but its healthier,most of the calories comes from the protein soources,and the carb sources arent junk,and less sugar and fat

i dont use it anymore,i quit and starting eating more food,i still use Optimums Pro Complex for post workout,not the gainer,but the blend,has like 270 calories 5 grams of carbs,2 grams of sugar,Iuse it instead of thier Whey isolate because i need the calories,and i eat an apple with it post

So the total is always around 740-830 calories in one drink. Good stuff
 
Been using Whey Protein shakes for the past few months. However, I've been told that Mass Gain drinks are more effective.

From your experience what would you say is better to build muscle?

most are crap, I rec you take your whey and then add 2-3 tbs peanutbutter, 1 banana, 25g oeatmeal, 50g protein and blend it up. you now have a GOOD gainer.

Sounds tasty to me!

I love oatmeal in my shakes. One of my favorite breakfasts is a shake made with 10 egg whites, a cup of dry oatmeal, and a scoop of chocolate whey.
