Which powerlifting record is the most impressive to you? And why?

I respect and am amazed by all world record holders. I think the deadlift record is most impressive.
  • Strongman: In the realm of strongman, where specialized equipment like lifting suits and straps are allowed, the current world record stands at a staggering 501 kg (1,105 lb). This monumental feat was achieved by Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson from Iceland, famously known as "The Mountain" from Game of Thrones. He set this record in 2020.
  • Powerlifting: In powerlifting, stricter rules apply, often prohibiting the use of supportive gear like lifting suits. This makes the lifts even more challenging. The raw deadlift world record (no suit or straps) is currently held by Benedikt Magnússon from Iceland, who lifted an incredible 460.4 kg (1,015 lb) back in 2011.

Overall, I would say Larry Wheels is pretty damn impressive with all his lifts too, as well as how he stays so lean and strong. He used to bench like 5 plates or something as a teen
