Hammer Time
i have some big quads has anyone pinned the vastus medialis muscle in the quad? its the one right above the knee, All my quads are pronounce. Anyone pinned in that area? or just outer quad?

Yup, I have. I pin quads often and inject right above my knee cap (maybe 3-4 inches above). Works fine. For example if I pin my right quad it will be above the knee cap to the outside of my body, not inside.

Tread lightly, there are some serious nerve clusters and blood vessels near the medialis. The lateralis is recommended for a reason.

You're pinning in the vastus lateralis friend, he's pinning in the "tear drop" of his quad. Sounds painful as hell to me. :p

Seeings how a lot of unsuspecting people will have to get their miniscus replaced sometime or another, it seems like an otherwise bad idea. I noticed pinning muscles you use often, tend to hurt the most, upper quad all the way.

Yup, it's the only place on my quads that I've ever pinned (do it often), no pain at all. I have thought about pinning in the "tear drop" but if it ain't broke don't fix it

I only pin in my quads, the first few times I was sore for days on end but now nothing. I personally take my hand and place it on my knee and the other hand on my waist and I will pin anywhere in between on the outer half of my quad. My legs are 26.5" though if that makes a difference.

yea man that tear drop thats what im talking about. quads are my main muscle to pin the outer quad. but i was considering the midialis but im aware of the nerves so was skeptical thats why i asked the boys ya know. just curious

I jabbed my buddy in the intermedius (dead center, high on the leg), he was fine. But tried it himself and died from pain...

My quads are much larger then that and still; 4th pin into cycle on my upper lateralis I pegged a nerve bundle.. Jesus Hacksaw Jim Duggan Christ.. I'd take a volcanic rock enema over that experience any day.

LOL! WELL put sir! It's not an experience one forgets, that's for sure.
