The title says it all. Do I donate whole blood or double reds to lower my hemocrit. I imagine both will work, but donating double reds limits me to donating every 4 months as opposed to whole blood. Just curius what you guys do?
How long should I wait prior to donating after starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) - I just did labs but it was a mini panel that did not include hematocrit. I have not traditionally donated with any regularity but don't want things to sneak up on me.
Double RBC will drop HH more but you also have to wait longer to do it again, so it would depend on if you were doing preventative draw, or it was already high.
I have been having problems with my red blood cell levels. It seems to go between 17-19 when I get my labs done every 3 months. More often now because Doc is concerned by the #. I have had blood taken two times over the last three weeks to lower. Got down to 16. I am afraid the Doc may switch me from the test cyp every week at 150. He mentioned the pellet. He said the cyp can raise the count and the pellet will not. seems strange are they not both testosterone. Does anyone know the effectiveness of the pellet. Stats 48 yrs old, 6'1, 240, bf about 30. waist went from 42 to 38 in the last 8 months. Working out 5 days a week. Diet fair.

the blood bank will test your hemocrits on the spot and tell you how thick your blood is, I believe 18.4 is the highest they will accept, anything over they will refuse cause of blood clot can complicate the donation, you can donate every 2 months
Either will work fine. I prefer not doing the double since you cant donate for a while after that and that damn machine makes me nervous as hell when there is a mainline stuck in my arm.
