will I lose size if rest for 2 weeks?????

hey, bros recently injured my wrist, nothing to serious though, but enough to piss it off during alot of exercises. i actually injured it about 4 years ago and the only thing that made it better was rest. so, my question is boys, i have been hard at in the gym for the last year with no real break and have put on a lot of good size and strength, so if i take off for the next two weeks will i lose alot of muscle size or will it actually be good to take a break....what u all think..i hear rest can be good for growth and injuries!
 
if you've been at hard for a year straight as you claim, a few weeks off will probably be a tremendous benefit
 
bro yur mussels will fall off!!!

even if you ate very little protein and overall calories you would lose very little muscle. the human body is not that inefficient.

I had 2 weeks off over Christmas as i visited the missus abroad. I thought i lost size/ strength but its just your mind playing tricks. I felt so much better when i got back in the gym.
 
As stated by bigmitch, mentally you may think you will lose weight b/c you are mentally use to going to the gym.....we are creatures of habit and this is why you feel this way. Also this is why it is best for muscles to change routine every 3-5 weeks so that they get a different stimulus.
Take the 2 weeks and eat and sleep well, even go out a bit and get it out of the system. I think you will find after the "break" you will feel 3 times as strong as you did compaired to the last workout before your break. Do not worry about it.

Umm so how did you hurt your wrist? :) Porn is good but man be carefull you don't injur the other one!! J/K
 
It would be good for your body to take a break if it's been that long. You may lose a little bit of size but nothing that you can't get back after a week or 2. Don't get lazy though and do nothing, go in and do cardio and abs and maybe even legs.
 
thanks for input! ya, i figured it would be good for me, but it's just fucked up how u think your smaller if u miss a few workouts even though you really have not lost anything, fucked up how we think! no worries, doing cardio, and just did legs...keep it real boys.
 
the thing you will only loose is the will to eat....that is right.

after resting from workouts, I have noticed that my appetite has dropped significantly.

also, about the whole loosing strength/size when resting for a long period of time....

i can say you'd loose strength in terms of:

1. what you eat
2. what are you doing
3. how much sleep you are getting.

also, taking a time off from workout doens't mean you have to pig out because you are relaxing....take a time for cardio and shed them unwanted fats....BE ACTIVE! GPP helps a lot....

in summary: it really depends on you

the size thing is all mental...don't worry about it. suggestion: DON'T LOOK AT THE MIRROR NOR POSE AT IT....REALLY...
