Work out BOOK for GREAT gains?

generally, anything that

1. uses that page format (there are dozens, if not more, useless diet/training books using it)
2. promises to reveal "secrets"

is utter bullshit.

ive seen a .pdf document of one such book that promised secrets to freaky mass gains or something silly, and the "secrets" were hardly that. IIRC they consisted of some form of stretching (similar to DC's extreme stretches), drop sets, and some other run of the mill stuff that anyone who's a member of a decent forum already knows about.

Oh man, you revealed the REAL secrets! It is funny that people are looking for some magic routine/exercise, they are just lazy or expect results overnight and it ain't gonna happen that fast.

Buy Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe if you want a good book on this topic. I'm about a quarter of the way through it and I have already learned a lot about how bad my squat form really was.
