Worried about infection - please help?

Hey there gang,

Hardcore Labs Test-E 250. 25G with 1’ – all the way in. First ever cycle at 33 years old.

I did my third shot this week into the right quad on Tuesday and I am still feeling a bit warm to the touch (on Saturday morning). Now granted, I am a big puss about needless and I am fairly sure my injection technique could use a little more work before I get entirely comfortable with it.

As has been standard with two earlier injections I felt almost crippled the first few days, but now I am feeling fine overall with a hint of soreness in the my right quad where I injected last.

The skin is bit red around the area (which I never noticed before I will also be honest, shaved the hair off because I wanted to see where I inject) and feels warm to the touch.

The skin is more hard than squishy (which people talk about if an abscess develops) so I am thinking I am still sore, but I wanted some feedback from other people before I ignore it. I do not have a temperature, feel fine otherwise can move just fine.

I made sure I injected clean, switched needless, swabbed the skin and the rubber stopper too (even waited a second for the rubber stopper to try)

So I figured I’d just see if this is just soreness from a previously virgin quad (only second injection, alternated quads and spots) and ask some advice from the people who have probably seen it all. Thank you very much for any hints/suggestions.

You're fine. If a flu develops, go to a doctor and start on a cycle of antibiotics.

This is why I stick to the deltoids. Perfected my form within the first three injections.

I've had a cold for a while, but I am at the point where people around me (and in my immediate family) are getting sick as well. So I don't know whether to attribute it to the gear or just bad luck. Anyway, thank you very much for the confirmation, means a lot even though we don't know each other.

Just out of curiosity, how did you perfect your form there? Very interested in the delts cause I know I won't reach my glutes by myself and still aspirate.

the glute is the best place to pinn i also use the delts and the thigh....most people i know who use the quads end up very sore...rotate your sites use the thigh instead of quads....i have no pip whatsoever where i pinn...so try some different sites....also may be the type of oil used in gear...you may have to switch that up next time! best of luck

Hey thank you, the more I heard about not having an infection the better I feel haha. I suppose I'll just keep an eye out but it couldn't have helped that I let go of the syringe and it 'bounced' the other fucking way.

Looked at a mirror, felt the area and looked for the thickest muscle site that could be found. Rear delts fit the bill.

Got a lot of blood from injecting the Anterior delts. Learned my lesson. Nowadays, I enter and leave 'dry' (without any blood from the injection site).

And yes, I always aspirate.

So now the back of my leg hurts when I walk. Up the stairs? No problem...down the stairs? No problem! Just walking? Pain...

Could this be anything other than my feeling the effects of favoring my leg for the last few days and walking funny. Again, no fever. Feel fine physically.

Wouldnt the quad be easier to pin yourself though, especially when unfamiliar with injecting in the first place?

Cliff notes.

This is called PIP.
You are fine, don't worry about it.
PIP can take up to 7 days to go away.
Go to the doctor (ie. emergency room) if you have swelling AND a fever for more than a day or two.
