worried about injection

ok, last night i injected,..a little harder than normal, and when i pulled out, blood shot out of my glutes and kind of flowed down my leg for a few seconds...i put pressure on it, and it came out a little more, and then after about 10 seconds of pressure, everything was fine?....now, its a little sore, what does this mean? did i hit a blood vessel, or either way, will my gear still work properly now that blood has come out, (more than usual?)

Probably hit a vein, I've had it happen to me before.

Yes, not common but does happen from time to time. Nothing really to worry about as long as you aspirated and it was clear.

Aspirate: to pull back on the plunger of the syringe after it has been inserted into the muscle to make sure that it is not in a vein or artery......if there are just bubbles then you are good to go if there is blood then pull out and find another spot for the time being!

damn dude. definatly need to know what aspirating means before injects. thats sucks man.
