WSB dead Training

I deadlift once or twice a month. Each time ive always been able to better the last lift by either weight, reps or both. Ive really always felt that nothing helps ur deads better than everything else but deads. Dont know if its true for everyone but its worked for me for years.

so i should not be deadlifting all the time? what other exercise(s) should i be doing then? that article states if you deadlift all the time it will kill you mentally and physically.

it dpends on where you are and how you react to not pulling..

if youre a beginner i would recco that you pull at least 3 times/month until you stall..

personally i found that not doing pulls messed with my groove/confidence so im adding them back into my routine..doing 1 work set of 5 reps until i get my form back..

i do pull. i was deadlifting for a while, then did stiff legs for like 10 weeks, now i want to go back to regular. i do them conventional and for every 2 weeks i deadlift, ill do rack pulls. and increase the poundage all the time. i should be stronger when i go back to deadlifting regular.

if your making progress dont change anything

great idea imo . its not a all or nothing thing , you dont have to skip deads alltogether , why not throw in a moderate amount of actual deadlifts at least 3 times a month . 1 heavy set of 5 , after a proper warmup of course should do the trick .

If i don't pull from time to time it suffers. I have no clue what "westside" preaches but if you look at their logs alot of them deadlift quite often and with a decent amount of weight. I have noticed with my weight changes my pulling groove changes, and not pulling much between 250 and 275 was a mistake, because i am having problems staying down now.

the thing is, im not a powerlifter or bodybuilder, so i dont train for meets or diet for a show (fuckin hate it anyways LOL) but i prefer to train like a powerlifter now as i believe (always did) in compound movements and i threw out isolation. i wont even work arms directly for a while or im just going to do a set or two of each after the big compound movements (i.e. straight bar curl after bent rows). i used to be into size but now prefer more strength, still would like to put on size of course especially the medial head of the delt but i definately am now into increasing my strength big time. ill be following a diet like DC. just cut the carbs after 6pm and do cardio in the mornings and i prefer to do them on my off days (4 days per week since i now train mon wed fri)
