20 years old - first cycle

I am 20 years old, and wondering if it's "ok" to start my first cycle. (I'm going with test). I have been training naturally for 5 years with strict dieting and workouts. Before anything I know my genetical potential isn't reached until I'm ca 23; but what I am wondering about is if it will somehow stun my bodys development?

Just to add some info I began puberty just before I turned 12, so by the age of 16 I was already almost fully grown (in height). (I started getting facial hair when I was 15, and got my happy trail when i was 14.) Since the age of 13 I have gotten comment of people saying how old I look for my age. I also grew my last quarter of an inch in height from during the timespan 18-19 years, (and am now taller than my dad). So what I am saying is that I believe my body is pretty developed, and I am quite sure I am not going to grow any taller. So I am not really concerned about my growth-plates getting stunned; but what do you think, is my body ready for a first cycle?

(Please don't comment too much on the fact that I haven't reached my potential. I am fully aware of this, but I believe I am quite close to reaching it.)

Wait five more years. Prepare for the backlash of experience and reasons coming your way... In all honestly, yes you are WAYYYYY too young for AAS.

I'm 23 and all the research I done has indicated that even at 23 starting a cycle is a bad idea and should wait at least a few more years so I can imagine that doing one at 20 would be significantly worse in terms of long term health issues. Bad idea.

From what I have read I can't see how it should be worse for my health now, compared to if I wait 2-5 years. (I am only thinking of doing 1 "light" cycle of 400-500mg of test each week, for 10 weeks.

That is not a light cycle, that is a cycle. No one on here is going to give you advice on how or what to cycle given your age. And even if you do go against advice and problems arise you might get some help then but you would need to weed through the hundreds of posts and lectures about using AAS because of your age. You're young and you're going to do what you want to do, but you are no where even close to reaching genetic potential at your age. You produce the most testosterone naturally from about 17 to 23. If you cycle, your natural production suffers. If you want to be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for the rest of your life, running a cycle at too young of an age is a good way to increase those chances. You are definitely playing with fire.

Any cycle that requires (and running test at 400-500mgs/wk will certainly require this) a full post cycle therapy (pct) should not be regarded as a "light" cycle.

Chances are, though, we are not going to change your mind.......So, lets start with post cycle therapy (pct). Do you know what that is?

Funny how people are worried about not being at their genetic max but completely disregard gears effects on your endocrine system & your body's ability to produce healthy test levels without gear.

Even if you were ready, which from your own addmitance you are not, you will do irreversible damage to your natty test. You'll end up on this never ending tail chase & with low natty test before you're 30. I know this from experience.

Just be prepared to live with effects you are currently unaware of.

Hmm why to be on a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for rest of his life?.A good PCT and after 2-3 months test lvls will be as near as they were before cycle.....stop of growthing i can accept that.....

Would love to ask for stats, but no point since you shouldn't even consider at this time. I did my first cycle at 21 and wish I would have waited, yes I saw great results but I had so much more potential and learning to do especially when it comes to training and diet. Gear is only a fraction of the equation and at your age it's not even necessary. Give it a few years and in that time learn how your body reacts to training and diet, so you will be prepared...

If you know what you're doing, and have your PCT set out then go for it.

no offense man, but if you have a thread asking if Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is necessary i don't think you have much business encouraging a 20 year old to use AAS. and with said i would NOT do it at 20 years old. trust me when i was 20 i wanted to, and at 19 and 18 when my buddies were doing it. but i didn't and i'm damn glad too. i waited til 24 to do my first cycle of test only.

x2let him take offense

But I do know about HCG, I just wanted to hear experiences from guys not using it during a cycle. I did my first test cycle when I was 21, prior to that an m1t only cycle I researched for a year before touching anything.

I honestly do not understand why people above 24 justify using AAS and tell people a few year younger than themselves to stay away from it, it's a few years difference, I understand reasons not using it before 21, growth plates open and body changes occuring but at 21 the body has reached it's peak, please spare me the lecture of massive levels of test at a young age, I've never seen anyone blow up around my age group naturaly from natural test.

Your body may be fully developed at that age but the mind is not lets face it most 21 year olds are dumb no nothing fucks these days not their fault

That I can somewhat agree with, the majority of my age group don't even understand the importance of diet, I even know a few people who ran OTC products for post cycle therapy (pct), people who planned test/deca cycles but didn't know what a PCT was, people thinking Anavar (var) and Winstrol (winny) will cut you up without diet changes.

they just came out with a study that says your brain is not fully matured until age 24. that and yes your test is soaring at that age unless something is wrong, obviously not to the point of being on gear but fucking with it at that time can seriously mess you up man.

Honestly bro, If i were you, I wouldnt jump into AAS yet. Take a few more years to perfect your diet and routines. You can get decent results from combining a good creatine, bcaa's, whey isolate, pre workout, omega 3's....ect, with a strict high protein/slow carb diet.

When you have matured to a point in your life where you stop thinking you are the shit and listen to other people than you are ready for AAS. I will be turning 22 shortly and the month after when I am set-up to fund my new diet + use of supps I will start my cycle.

I do not drink and I do not smoke or do any recreational drugs they do not interest me. However long it takes you to reach this point in your life than you are ready nothing below 21 for physical reasons.
