Hey peeps,
Would a 23g - 1 1/4 inch needle be ok to shoot in the quads?
I see the recommended is 1 inch and 1.5 is for the bigger dudes. Im kinda in between, so would this be ok to do?

i would say yea, but IMO i would try a 1in first just to be safe...it will still get in the muscle regardless of the .25 inch u know...![]()
So 1in would still get into the muscle? My quads are quite big, hardly any fat......so this would be ok?
Stupid question.....but does it matter what needle size you use for drawing? I know to use a 21g but does the length matter? i.e. 1/12inch.
i pin my quads 3-4 times a week.. 23g. 1.5" neeldle all the way in. It will still get in your muscle with even .5", but the amount of gear you are injecting is the variable here. The more you inject, you want to be deeper, so nothing leakes back out, you see....
I use a 21g inch for drawing and a 25g 1'1/2 for pinning,i hate bigger needles lol,but for quads a 23 would be ok,i never pin my quads though, but friends of mine do and thats what they use

i pin my quads with 25g 1 inch. But, it is true, as stated above. If you are doing 3cc injections, you want to get deeper in the muscle. My injects are 1 1/2cc's, so 25g inch pins are fine. Also, the smaller the gauge, and the more stable the injection, the less scar tissue. You want to prevent the build up of scar tissue, so I advise you to stick with 25g, no need to use fat needles. Remember, all injects are a puncture wound, and if you plan on staying in this game, proper injects are IMPERATIVE. You will be more prone to getting an abscess with large scar tissue build up. Good luck.
