I know everybody is different and depends on what you do..and how well you do it...but how well in shape can one get in four months? I have 3j that helped me with my diet, which i shall be starting in may...and have a good workout routine... I'm wondering if i go hard and want it really bad...i am 21 years old...bf % lets just guess and say 25.. i am 5 feet 11..204 pounds

let me put it this way-i have a friend who was 5'11 240 and 25% in september. he followed a strict diet and ran his ass off everday. in december he was 210 and and prolly 12%. His diet before hand consisted of fast food beer and cigaettes. as soon as he changed his diet bro the fat melted off. it really is that simple-you are what u eat bro.

today he is 199-looking great. he is addicted to cardio-he says he loves the feeling of knowing he can run 5 miles whenever he feels like it. now we are gonna bulk him up about 15 pounds.

nice...so would it be realistic if i wanted my bodyfat % to around 10? in four months? i quit smoking already..

I think that's a little out of reach of most people. I think if you work your ass off you will see some pretty impressive gains in 4 months 10% is awfully aggressive though. Go for it, what's the worst that can happen? You will be in much better shape regardless and if your not 10% you will be that much closer to your goal.

For the record my goal is 10% and while I've seen some pretty impressive gains I'm a long way from that goal but I'm gonna stick with it until I get there!

G'luck

Shoot for 10% and be thrilled if you get anywhere near that. Going from 25% to 15% would be a pretty huge difference in 4 months and you would look noticeably more defined.

well i dont even know if im 25...iv never taken a real test it was some online thing..like im not huge...im 5 feet 11...204 pounds i would say im over weight...i think and have been told iv chubby but that could just be people being nice or something..lol i dont know...other than going in to a place to see how can i tell my bf %

you could post up a pic and someone will give you an estimate. 3J looked at mine and estimated me. I thought i was 18-20 and he estimated me at 13-15% so i was pleasantly surprised. Im gonna post up a new pic in 2 weeks and get an updated estimate. in the past 2 or so weeks i went from cardio 2x a week to 7x a week so im hoping to drop a point or 2 in a month.

you should post both yours..did you post yours or did you just send it to him?

Click on my name, i think you can see them, if not let me know and ill add you as a friend so you can see them. I put them in my profile and set them to private i think dont remember.

The problem with setting specific goals like this are you could do everything perfect and make huge progress but if you were expecting 10% and you get 18% you will feel let down when 18% might be a huge improvement. Once you feel let down you inevitably start to question your willpower and dedication (is it all worth it)

For me its about how i look and feel. Sure im interested in knowing my BF but if I see big progress I dont care if I am 2% or 20%

Seeing is believing, Work hard, Diet is the single most important item imo, workout routine is second.

If you work hard for 4 months and eat clean you will see tremendous gains. Don't put a specific number on BF just try and keep improving what you have.

guys.. u wanna lose weight there's a healthy way of doing it and an unhealthy way.. welt is an exception due to his situation, which i wont get into....

4 monthis = 16 weeks

at 2lbs a week loss.. which is healthy, you could drop 32lbs... that would be ideal....

yeah i will be doing it the healthy way...just alot has changed since we made my meal plan..i was suppose to stay in school in the summer but i have to go back and start working to help my dad pay rent..hopefully i can afford the diet and afford a gym membership...

Gully youll find that its cheaper to eat healthy than to eat like shit. Start addin up the fast food, beer, candy, and all the other bullshit. Ive actually been saving money at the store.
