4 weeks on injections - Zero Libido

I am losing faith in trt. Feel like I am not doing anything. still taking 50mg Test-C E3D subq. Taking 2.5mg HC in morning. Tried adex for a few weeks. I took .25mg every 3-4 days. Made my lower back hurt like hell. Stopped the adex and the pain went away.

Now my knees just hurt like mad. I feel extremely lethargic, and dizzy all the time. Can barely stay awake. Im always hot, cant sleep. Just had new bloodwork done yesterday. Can't wait to get results.

I put together a spreadsheet from previous test over the years of this and I am worse than ever right now. One thing that has been consistent is really crappy lipids and low testosterone. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xPYgBhKWJVM-lZtCF-zUAjeYFNJ7WuXoSkcRiGz7sNQ/edit?usp=sharing

Any help would be appreciated.

Most of us have gone thru this same misery. Believe me, it gets better. A lot better. Listen to the vets here. I won't give you advice, because there are more knowledgeable guys here. Gels did nothing for me and 100 mg Cyp did nothing for me either. But stick with it. When you get dialed in you will be a happy camper

I bet 0.5mg of adex crushed your E2 big time. You're describing the symptoms of low estradiol, which is reversible - but takes time to remedy. I'd imagine that the source of your libido issues is that you've been running around with a low testosterone and (as expected) a lower estradiol. Once you increased that test to a much better level, your body increased estradiol output to maintain homeostasis.

As you've learned, higher E2 can make your body retain water (yes, you're likely sensitive), while killing libido in some. It is a delicate balance trying to keep testosterone at a good level while preventing E2 from climbing too high. I bet 0.25mg E3.5D (once you've recovered) will fit the bill; keeping E2 at an optimal level, without having to change your test dose.

Definitely interested in those results.

My .02c :)

Thanks for the reply. Sorry, I had typo from earlier post (I just corrected it). I never took .5 adex, I took .25

I thought the same thing though, maybe over the few weeks I did crush my E2 even with the .25mg. I feel so bad right now I have to fight myself from trying to take it again until I can recover, but I don't feel much of a recovery. How long does it normally take?

Geez, you may have to either get creative with the pills, or find a compounding pharmacy that can tailor a specific mg/mL (mg/tab) for you.

Two weeks can be enough time as there will be some rebound as the AI use ceases. Unfortunately, we all aromatize at different rates, so I can't give a better time frame.

Hang in there, you'll get dialed in and enjoy life eventually. :)

ok, update - think we figured it out.

I was on a blood pressure med called coreg (lowest dosage possible) for 2+ years. It turns out this damn thing has caused all my grief. I was only taking because I had one episode of afib that put me in the hospital. My heart is normal and healthy from what my cardiologist says, but he put me on it to help with irregular beats. I believe i only had that one episode because of the stress of my dad passing away.

Long story short, my trt dr doesn't believe I need to be on it. He took me off and it's been a night and day difference. I can now feel the benefits of the TRT and the brain fog/dizziness/joint pain has all been lifted. Keeping fingers crossed, but I feel like this was the cause.

Also, got my new labs back any my estrogen was 24 pg/mL. Nice sweet spot.

Are there any concerns with Free testosterone being above normal range? Mine was 184.4 pg/ml?

Total was 702 ng/dL.
Sex hormone was low at 13 nmol/L
DHEA 303 mcg/dL
