Went to see the endo after doing independent Testosterone lab (anylabtestnow). My Total Test was 195. SO I made a appointment with a Endo, While There he ask all the typical questions, Sex Drive (Not what it use to be), Tired in the middle of the day(Yep), Weight Gain (Yep)... Then he said it seemed as though testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) would be a good thing for me BUT He wanted to retest. My results for his retest where 246 for Total Test & now he's not interested in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), He says I'm "Low Normal" Seems weird to me. Here are his results. What do you think.

PSA 1.63 ng/ml Rng 0.00-4.00
Prolactin Level 7.2 ng/ml Rng 3.7-17.9
LH 2.2 m1U/ml Rng 2.0-12.0
FSH 1.8 m1U/ml Rng 1.0-12.0
Free Test 9.1 ng/dl Rng 9-30
Total Test 246 ng/dl Rng 240-950
Iron 133 mcg/dl Rng 65-175
Percent Satuuration 32% Rng 20-55
TIBC 419 ug/dl Rng 250-450
Ferritin 113.8 ng/ml Rng 26.0-388.0

Time for a new doc my man. 242ng/dL is NOT healthy... unless you're 85. Many doctors are very gun shy about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as it involves the use of a drug that carries with it a bad stigma thanks to propaganda and media hype. I'd also look into Increase My T, the sponsors of this board, as they are MORE than proficient in restoring healthy hormone levels if you are unable to locate a doctor worth his license.

My .02c :)

Note: Your doc didn't measure estradiol, which is a RED FLAG to me. Estradiol and testosterone have a very complex relationship in men and are both are equally important in hormone treatment.

You'd be surprised how infrequently they check for that sort of thing.
5 years and 4 endos and not a one has tested estradiol

Sadly, I'm not surprised at all. I have had a doctor AND an RN tell me that men don't even make LH or estrogen. I'd be willing to bet that anyone who spends an appreciable amount of time on this board will know more than the average GP/PCP when it comes to hormone replacement. That's why I feel folks like IMT are not only doing a great service, but are geniuses for getting in the game NOW when the competition is weak. Given how andropause is starting to gain recognition, it's only a matter of time before it reaches mainstream. I saw a damn Axiron (gel crap) ad the other day on network TV and peed a lil'. :p

There's a lot of slobs in the medical community. They could give two dams about people's low T. In their view if they start treating everyone's "low T" they will be overwhelmed and have that much more responsibility to manage them e.t.c.
It's everyone for themselves in todays medical community.

I told my family doc to test for Estradiol...he says: "nah...no need to"

I forced him to check it anyway!
So the story has a happy ending at least.:)

Yeah, but it sucks that anyone should have to "force" a doctor to do their job. Do you have to "force" a mechanic to replace your brakes after you've paid him, or does he insist on changing the wipers? Kills me how the customer is no longer right.

What kills me is how most play GOD with your body and dictate where your B12 levels, T levels should be. You don't have a choice in the matter.
My doc said to me last week: "this b12 is a little high"....and they decide what is "normal" for you to have Testosterone wise.

Absolutely.
While the mechanic might not be changing your wipers while asking for a brake job, he could very well not do the work at all.
Such was the case with Jiffy Lube charging for services they never did.

Always ask for them to show you the parts they removed.
