You should probably lookup what sniping means... I think your thinking of the artillery not the act... You can snipe someone with a chain gun from an apache... Distance/cover/awareness.... Fack I've really digressed.

NHL, like all pro sports is a profit business - even with the salary cap, the richest teams can often buy their way into the playoffs (not necessarily a cup, though). Quite a few canadians playing on the bruins, along with swedes, finns and of course americans.
Money is less of a factor Olympics, and your available players are obviously domestic only.

I'm Canadian and have been a flyers fan since Tim Kerr strated with them, was like 7 years old. Still waiting to see them win a cup

Not true, they made the playoffs last year
I wouldnt say they bought there team, it took time to rebuild there team= players demand more money once they prove themselves, lots of trades burk made to get rid of the old and go with the new, unfortunantly it took sometime in the process, but its def fun to watch them now once again!, go leafs
