5X5 routine, experiences and tips??

The original bill starr 5x5 is what you should try, google it.

Exactly. Theres alot more to it than just doing 5 sets of 5 reps. If i recall you only do 5x5 on big lifts like bench, dead, squat, and rows.
 
Ok, well would this "NOT" be a good training regimine to do when bulking up for a show?

I'm starting a bulking cycle in a week and I was going to do the 5x5.

Good, or bad idea? If so, I can always change up my routine. I just want to put on as much size as possible with my bulk cycle.
 
From my experience of lifting this, 5x5 is a strengthening routine and what I use it for. If I was competing and was going to be bulking for a show; NO, I would not use this routine. Body building routines of going to failure are better. Lifting slow and lowering slow would be better. Varying the weights and reps per set would be more beneficial. And of course your diet will play an important roll. What you eat and don't eat; how much you should be taking in for calories and water. Those will be better for you.
