6 years natty training - time to juice?

Hi all,

I've been following this forum for a while as an anonymous reader and have recently decided to create an account so I can start participating in discussions.

I'm going to start with some background information about my training experience then move on to ask my question.

I'm 28 years old (5 months shy of 29), 5' 6", and currently weigh 167.5 at 10.5% BF.

I've worked out for 2 years when I was 18, stopped for university, and have been working out for the past 4 years and a few months. Over the course of my training I've seen my weight go up from around 125 Lbs to my current 167.5 Lbs.

I try to change workouts every 4 months (6 at most if its going well with no plateaus). The biggest plateau I've hit was last spring when my weight refused to climb anymore beyond 155. After a drastic change of workout, diet, and using a new workout partner (my height, weighs in at 194 Lbs, pretty built) I saw my weight move up to 167.5 Lbs. I can probably make it go up close to 175 Lbs or 180 Lbs, I had to take around 10 days off starting sometime last week though because I got hit with the wonderful virus that is H1N1. Today is my first fever-less day and I think I will be pumping iron in the next couple of days.

Now on to my question. Having established what you have about me, would you think that its time for me to give AAS a try and see where it takes me? My goal is to hit 185 Lbs or 190 Lbs at 7% to 8% BF.

Thanks for your time, and answers.

Have a nice build to build off of. I would recommend 500mg/wk of test E or C. 2 injections a week monday and thursday. post cycle therapy (pct) clomid and nolva. Some things for you to search up for. You will also need an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). Dont want to hand it to you bud. I see you wont mind doing some research or I hope you wont. Welcome to ology btw!

You look good ! I d say after you recover from the flu...the above advice is good to go.
Welcome..these dudes are so cool...and in the know !

yea - start with test e or test cyp as shown above. It will add the 20 pounds with minimal sides.

You are definately ready (a little young) but in good shape.

Thanks dude. I've been doing a fair bit of reading on AAS, how they work, differences between them, how to post cycle therapy (pct) (and with what). I'm *almost* familiar with all the acronyms now. Whats "AI" again? That one I don't recall.

If I go the Test-E route, should I kick start it with something? I'd like to keep my exposure simple and minimal at first so I can assess what works for me, what my body doesn't like, and how I should proceed (which is why I am not sure if I want to take anything to kickstart the Test-E).

Thanks for your reply.

I'm a firm believer of size to height ratio. Arnold for his size looked and still looks the best. Ronnie Coleman in my opinion is disgusting. For your height your goals are perfect. I'd pin my ass if I were you.

Indeed, totally agreed. Since I'm not Arnold in terms of height my inspiration is Franco.

Every few months I play Pumping Iron and I just love both Arnold and Franco's physiques in that movie.

Thanks for the reply Scarz! :)

AI = aromatase inhibitor. Used to keep estrogen under control when the test aromatizes. Too much estrogen leads to gyno, water retention, acne, etc.

AI = aromatas inhibitor. Taken while on cycle to keep estrogen related sides(gyno, water retention) under control.

AI stands for Aromatise Inhibitor. What AI's do is they prevent the conversions of androgen's into estrogen in fat, muscle, breast, and brain. To put it simply, it stops estrogen related sides. As you know, testosterone converts to estrogen, and high estrogen gives you some pretty bad side effects such as gyno, bloat, etc. and AI's either prevent this, or lessen them. You don't necessarily have to take an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). Not everyone gets sides effects. I don't get them, for example. It's best to have them on hand and only use them once the sides kick in because AI's tend to hinder gains. Estrogen helps with muscle growth and it won't do much if you don't have any.

Don't use a kickstart for your first cycle. If you get side effects, you won't know what they are coming from. For your first cycle, it is best to stick with one compound. Take Test E at 500mg a week. Split it into two doses. 250mg every Monday and Thursday. Make sure to have proper post cycle therapy (pct). I suggest researching it.

Fantastic.

Thanks for clarifying what Aromatase inhibitor (AI) was and thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.

if he is looking to gain some weight and if he opts out on the D-bol. he is going to need to eat, up his food intake a bit :)

well then eat? Not a hard thing to change. Sounds like your saying take the easy way out take some dbol. Not assuming just wondering.

Look it!!!!...he asked people options...as to whether he should kick start it with something...and was looking to gain some more weight....it's not unknown for people to use Test E and D-bol for there first cycle. Using juice is not an easy way out....it's just added boost :)

Let me know if your happening to be wondering anything else :)

regardless of whether or not he takes dbol he will still have to eat properly and clean. his diet will dictate end results. By the looks of his pictures, I'm sure he knows this already...on or off cycle...diet is #1.

he can cycle with the dbol or without, its up to him. if he's going to add the dbol then i would suggest an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) along the way during cycle. For his body weight I wouldnt go passed 20mg dbol if opted for. 500mg of test is the rule of thumb.

I personally like test prop the best. If he can handle the injections and if we help him to minimize the pain inserted from the injections, prop for 8 weeks alone is perfect.

Go for it. You already look better than alot of guys who have ran half a dozen cycles.

Perhaps I left some important information about my diet out :)

My current diet consists of around 478 grams of carbs a day and 340 grams of protein a day with 10 to 20 grams of fat per meal (7 meals a day). My total is around 4000 calories a day.

How should this be amended if I am to go for a 12 week Test-E cycle?

Thanks all.
