Ab Belt?

I do have an electro stim machine that works. It is torture. But it has the ability to adjust the levels and the frequency and the duration and the shape of the wave. It plugs in to the wall and isn't portable.

Those bells don't work. Although I'd love to plug my machine into it.

What is an electro stim machine, what does it do and how does it work?

Is it similar to the above contraption?

In Theory but not in execution. It's a machine that has electrode pads that you put surgical gel on for conductivity then you toucher yourself by sending electrical current in intervals to the muscles. You can put them on almost any muscle. The electricity causes the muscles to contract. The strength of the current and the duration and the frequency are adjustable. It has the ability to make it so you can't stand up Because the charge to your abs has all the muscle locked clinched tighter that you ever thought was possible.

We used it to tourcher our friends. Every time someone sees you using it and doesn't know what it is, they always want to check it out. It's too funny it's almost like watching some one get tazed. You start it out with a low current and them zap them funny stuff all in god fun.

Electro stim has been used in the medical community to treat soft tissue injuries for Decades. It's also used for heart cardiac care. It has many applications. Some smart doc decided is would be good to tread people who were wasting away and loosing muscle mass. It was later developed for consumer use. The machine was pretty expensive years ago. I don't know if you can still get them. I will say this to get good results out of it is painful.

Is it like those portable STEM machines that physical therapists use for patients? I've used a device that performs the action very similar to what you just described. However, this device is small and portable. It can have up to four pads that you place on your body to help repair and relieve pain in muscles.

No....it doesn't work. I have no idea why it is even allowed on the market.

Because the entrepreanours who came up with the idea were smart enough to know that many ignorant members of American society are dumb enough to buy them.

I remember seeing those things. They were all over TV for a year or so and then never saw them again. Those guys must have made some good money off of our obese and uneducated society. :toilet:

I'm sure it could be made much smaller. Mine has the 8 channels with separate controls. Each channel can have 4 pads plugged in. It a little bigger that a lunch box . I've seen small 2 pad portables
