Abs, how often and what?

I haven't been working my abs long, I used to hate it but now that I'm seeing results I want to do them everyday! Can you work abs everyday? Also, what is a good exercise that gets that line right down the middle? My sides are looking better but the middle isn't doing much. Any ideas?
 
IMO abs are 98% diet, 1% genetics and 1% ab work. I never do them, even during show prep. I believe heavy core work from squats, deads, etc can be of much greater value in terms of overall ab strength.

That being said, i would treat them like any other muscle, they can be overtrained. But like i said, if you got em covered with fat, who cares what you do with them? DIET.
 
yup rj is right man. i forgot to train mine for like a year and i could see em that whole year. keep your bodyfat low with diet(and cardio if needed) and do lotsa compound movements as well as dumbell exercises as your abs will be worked intensely for stability. an ab day along with say arms or something is good too.
