Accutane and steroids

Yeah, more specifics please. Injectables should be fine, orals are iffy and not really answerable without a blood test because not everyones liver is the same!

I know a non drinker, 29 years old, with liver problems.

Do you plan on taking orals?

I'm taking pink Thai's. So I guess I should just wait after cycle. If you guys ever taken Accutane give me your feedback on it. What side effects you experienced and at what dosages. My doc said he'll start me at 80mg or mcg however it goes, I think it's kinda a lot for me. Seems too high.

I have run up to 100mg at a bodyweight of about 230, I am doing 80mg right now and it still messes with my skin, seriously in some embarrasing ways. Takes about a month for the sides to kick in, but it starts showing results in the first week as far as getting rid of acne.

I knew someone had to ask.

The bleeding left nostril is not too bad, just when I break the scab. The dried facial skin I can deal with, I wash my face daily in the shower with some oxy-crap and I use lotion as needed (mostly my nose). The joint and tendon pains are unbearable without assistance, DangerousGrounds proved this also by being out of the gym himself for so long. I took a mere 4 days off but I knew I had to do something about the problem, it got so damn bad I seriously was in pain driving home after workouts, I could barely turn the wheel (no power steering), it was bad friggin pain. I use deca and glucosamine chondroitin for it now, and I threw MSM into the mix because it came in the bottle.

Anyhow, the one I have not posted about before, has to do with my bulking phase sending me to the pot to drop kids off roughly 2 and sometimes 3 times a day. So accutane doing what it does to your soft and normally moist skin, well guess what comes on that paper sometimes, blood. So yeah, I have a bloody hole at higher doses, hows that for a f#cked up side effect.

So anyhow, if you dont think IPs tabs are good, well his accutane sure as hell is legit :laugh4:

HOLY SHIT MUDGE!!! I never thought of that before as I'm about to get some accutane for myself. Its like battling sides with something that just gives you more sides. Is this a common occurance that nobody discusses?

damn... im gonna run 40mg a day... i hope this lower dose will leave me exempt from some of these "sides"... ive read some accutane journals, alot recoment moisturizing with cetaphil, and also using the cetaphil face wash... also take some vitamin E if your not... if you haven't, check out some of the accutane journals, there is alot of helpfull info on shit...

hey bros,
I've been on accutane for exactly 2 months now at 40mg ED. Here's a quick summary of my experiences. Nothing until week 3-4, where I broke out horribly on my back. (By the way, I got on accutane for my back, only had a couple if that on my face). Right up until week 7 I seen sides like extremely chapped lips, red blotchy palms from dry skin. Sore joints, and dry skin. I didn't use chap stick and my lips cracked on both sides, it took 3 weeks to get rid of the cuts. Oh yea, my nose is SO dry, all the snot is stuck in it, when you try to blow it out, my nose will bleed. Right at week 7, its like I woke up and my back was clear. My whole body complection is much clearer, smoother, and overall better. I just noticed I had a scab on my ear from dry skin as I'm typing this. However, Dramatic improvements on week 7-8, this shit really works.

Advice:
Use MEDICATED chapstick before you even start experiencing dry lips
Use lotion before you see dry skin
Drink alotta water
Do these and you should be good to go, depending on how your body will react to the drug.
Good luck bros

The sides can be pretty bad, DG would be glad to comment I'm sure if he happens to see this thread, but I can't say Ive heard about the ass comment before. Just happens to suck that I'm on a bulker, making the problem worse.

I am going down to 60mg to avoid this stuff, seriously it took about 8 weeks to get to this point, the sides began with my biceps tendons and I really had no clue it was the accutane. Looking in my PDR it says that Accutane is degenerative to connective tissue, so this must feel like Winstrol, it sucks ass. I'd say about 2 or 3 weeks in is when things became noticeable with my tendons, and another 3 or so weeks before it became so bad that my poundages were going down and I had to leave the gym for a few days, bench pressing was killing my elbows, seriously the pain was so bad I could not walk around the gym with a straight face I was hurting.

It gets hard to remember to cover all the areas where I get sides, dry lips hell yes, face, elbows, etc Also more sensative to sunlight, this is true. I burned my legs so badly I had problems sleeping for about a week, mistake. I wear contacts so my eyes get dry, that can be a problem.

Blistex is better than Chapstick IMO, but you will definitely need it relatively early on, you feel dehydrated like you were drugged up at the dentist with cotton mouth.

The dehydration also leads to cramping, I would get bad cramps trying to reach my ass to do shots, drink about a half gallon extra of water a day and that helped. I also try to move slowly when reaching back there for my shots, if I am not carefull the cramps get pretty uncomfortable and you have to stop and take a breather.

It definitely has sizes, if I could reach my own rear delts and back I might have tried that topical cream, Isotrex I believe it is, named after the compound in accutane Isotrentinoin.

I am currently on week 7 of 40 mg a week of accutane. I feel you mudge on the sides my damn nose is so dry everytime I even touch it the damn thing seems to start bleeding.I will tell you this after taking accutane about 7 years ago at 80 mg a day my side effects were pretty bad, now that I am on 40 mg day the sides are not really bad at all(well compared to the sides of the 80 mg) so unless you weigh more than 200lbs try just 40mg a day I am getting great results!..................hey mudge what do you think is the best product for joint relief?

I think that dose is too high personally. I figured, they give accutane to people with REALLY fucked up skin, so I guess if mine is just some pimples, then a dose of 40mg would be fine, plus less side effects. And if that don't help which it probably will, go up a dose.

Ok , I've decided to pussy out on less than 40mg, maybe 20mg. That should do the trick, and less sides. I am not looking forward to this, but I need it. This pimple bullshit is pissing me off.

I was planning on taking it but after seeing my friend I changed my mind. During workouts his hands would stiffin up and it would be painful for him to actually open them up. They were stuck in the position he was gripping the bar in. I think he was on 100 mg.

Best thing seems to be the amount of time you are on, as for dosing well it depends on the persons bodyweight as well as how bad it is. I didn't do anything about my acne for a long time so it started to get bad enough that I had bleeders on my back, and sometimes even my chest when doing bench presses (touching the bar). I'd split them open and I went form cystic acne to cystic acne + nasty scabs that loved opening up whenever they felt like it. So seriously if I wore a grey T shirt at the gym I'd look like I got shot a couple times (not really that bad), the back of my shoulders being the worst on a leg day.

1mg per kg of bodyweight is about as high as anyone should need to go, just keep on using it. When you start to clear up do NOT stop, and I would not change the doseage except in 20mg increments unless the sides are really bad. I had run out on one point and my guy was on vacation and I rebounded in a matter of days and I was SO close to being cleared up, that sucked.

If you need accutane then you need it badly enough to stock up on it :D As for B5 it worked partially but as soon as I got back on cycle it was all over, 12 grams a day was not enough to even hold steady much less fix my problem, but YMMV.

There are a couple major products out there, MSM which seems to take care of only the symptoms but it is not a cure (helps with synovial fluid I believe but not collagen synthesis).

Then there is glucosamine, and chondroitin. Chondroitin seems to be expensive in raw material form so some labels have been cought lying about true content, so I'd buy from a reputable source, if you can figure that part out. Then there is the popular mix of the two, Glucosamine Chondroitin which you probably hear a fair bit about. I use this along with deca, within 1 week I was feeling much better on this combo. I honestly though couldn't say which one kicked in faster, it was my first time using GC, either way I feel much better and I think it should be used anyway especially since things like test in high doses inhibit collagen synthesis (supposedly).

www.puritans.com should have great prices on the stuff, www.nutritionexpress.com is another company I used to order from.

Yes, this stuff is wretched at high doses, its got to be like high dose Winstrol because it sucks. I've never used Winstrol (winny) and I dont plan to, and this experience was all the more reason to stick to that plan of avoiding it, I dont compete so I dont need that shyt and I really dont want to tear my bicep tendons or something when there are plenty of other substances I can have fun with.

Like I said, I could hardly drive home when it started getting really bad, to make things worse I was on anadrol so I was putting 10 pounds on my bench every 5 or 6 days I was going into the gym :laugh4:
