accutane / pimple questions?
so if u get accutane how long does it take to get rid of pimples? and wat are all the bad risks involved in taking this, heard its really bad for u..??
and is there anything that actually gets rid of them without being heaps bad for u??

Accutane works different for everyone, I didn't have a single pimple after the first month on the shit, but after that first month i couldn't go more than 10 minutes without gooping up my lips. I had dandruff really bad, and I couldn't use a straight razor to shave, it gave me razor burn extremely bad. But all in all, you only have to run the shit for 5 months and you shouldn't ever have problems again. If you go to the doctor he'll tell you about it. you basically have to sign your life away to use it. however I believe it was worth it.

Just finsished a 6 month course. My bacne was clear after the first month and mine was BAD. Same as above lips got very dry and had some diareah I think towards the end. I also got very bad razor burn, and the doc said it was from the accutane drying me out. Iv been off for a month and the lips arent dry anymore and I dont get razor burn either. Iv had a few small pimples pop up, but Im just hoping I never go back to where I was. For me accutane wasnt really a choice. It was a necessity.

i used it for about 5 months. worked really well. Dont drink alcohol or abuse drugs while using it. It does have a black box warning about increased risk of suicide or erratic behavior.

i took it years ago, it cleared me up, but now i get acne again. anyway, didnt they pull it from the market last year some time? something about killing people causeing stomach problems....

u have to run this crap for 5-6 months and put up with all those fkn problems, and risks then when u get off it u still get pimples after??? wtf... this sounds like the worst lol

accutane is the LAST resort to solve your acne. if you dont need it then dont use it. its for ppl with severe acne. you have to get blood work like every month while on it. its also hard on the liver.

it is the last resort, i had acne so bad when i was younger it was hard to find a spot where there wasnt a pimple, and i wasnt on gear either. after the accutane, i cleared up and believe it or not, no scaring! now i get small bumps when im on cycle (nothing an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) wont take care of though)

Do not take accutane!!! My best friend had bad acne a few years ago and started taking it, about 6 months after he stopped he had sharp pains in his stomach. Yeah his acne disappeared but he ended up in the hospital with an infection in his intestine, colon, and appendix. Had to have surgery to remove appendix, parts of colon and intestine. He was days away from dying. They diagnosed him with crohns disease and he's now got a lawsuit going against the company that makes the shit. Do not take this stuff even as a last resort!

I ran a 5 month course 10 years ago....I had HORRIBLE acne on my chest, back, face, legs, and ass. Accutane cleared it all up and its been gone ever since. I had bloodwork done each month as well when I was taking it and they always came back normal. That drug saved my life, seriously.

yeah man accutane is some serious shit. It is basically a controlled overdose of vitamin A. I had 2 cycles of it in high school but it was a last resort for me, I had severe cystic acne. Im talkin oozing craters that would swell my eyes shut. very painful. Yes it helped very much but now you see commercials on tv about it telling you to call 1-800-bad drug. Serious birth defects and thoughts of suicide. But yes it does work, i haven't ever had a pimple since. However it is very dangerous and must be used under close supervision of a dermatologist. Blood test every week. Im not sure but I think they were testing me for cholesterol, white blood cell count and liver enzymes. It helped me alot but I never knew how dangerous it was. Not trying to scare you or anything, just tryin to look out for a bro.

k fuk that shit lol, anyone know of anything that is safe to take and actually works? haha, i got prescribed some clinda tech and doxy cylinde not sure if they work or any1 heard of them but just wondering if any1 knows any others..?

It's probably the closest thing to a cure for acne that is currently available. It has a host of side effects including depression and SEVERE dry skin among other things. It's extremely effective however and there are very few people who aren't sucessful with it's use.

Because of it's powerful side-effects, RoAccutane/Accutane is only prescribed as a LAST RESORT to those with SEVERE ACNE. Unless your acne is HORRIBLE, your probably not going to be given a script.

RoAccutane/Accutane is incredible hard on the liver as well, so if you did manage to get some, make sure you don't use it if you are running an oral gear.

I recommend you get a retinoid like Differin 0.3% - it's pretty powerful and is a locally applied cream and doctors are much more willing to give out scripts for it. The only bad side effect is dry skin on the applied area.

tetracycline or minocycline are antibiotics that your family doctor can prescribe. they work well for minor stuff. I would look into those. Also like Dolby said the Diffren Gel.

my brother and sister both use proactive, the stuff works for them. Id give it a shot until you find something more permanent.

i use that shit too now, just the soap though, seems to have helped the acne that i got on my chest im guessing from the juice.
