What do you use and what do you prefer?? I have always used 4 advil at a time for my aching joints.. (800mg total) and it seems to work fairly well... never tried Aleve... comparisons????

I have found aleve to work better and faster for shorter amounts of time for muscle aches. don't know about join pain. do you take glucosamine and condrointant(sp?)

I have a messed up spine which means bad lower back, and bad neck. I take Tylenol Extra Strength with Acetaminophen when the pain gets to much for me.

I take that sporadically and MSM... both do work well.. I stay away from Tylenol because it's bad on the liver....

I am an ibuprofen (advil) guy. It's anti inflamatory, and when I was bowling in a league a while back I found that acetomenaphin messed with my steadiness and focus.

naproxin(aleve) works best for my pain at the lowest doses. i have to take more than 2 of anything else to get rid of the pain.

I like naproxen, Rx strength is 660mg which is just 3 alieve tabs.

I found this though and thought it was interesting:
In Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, ibuprofen lysine (ibuprofenlysinat, the lysine salt of ibuprofen) is licensed for treatment of the same conditions as ibuprofen. Ibuprofen lysine has been shown to have a more rapid onset of action compared to base ibuprofen.

Might be something to keep an eye out for.
