Hmmmm.....it could just be a coincidence.......maybe not.....
Pruritus (chronic itching) and liver disease could in fact have a relationship. Pruritus is a very nonspecific symptom and may be related to a number of conditions........liver disease being one of them. Pruritus is commonly seen in patients with jaundice, but can be a symptom even in the setting of a normal bilirubin.
If you believe your condition is spomehow related to your drinking and AS use.....I encourage you to tell your Doc ASAP. Many patients with alcoholic liver disease can stablize their condition simply by abstaining from alcohol. I'd venture to say that AS use falls in a similar category.
But..play it safe and find out what's going on here.
I cannot stress enough the need for you to follow up with a physician regarding your condition. Advice in the absence of other data (lab studies) is not wise. Discontinuation of alcohol ingestion is the most important behavioral modification at this point.

Listen to DrVeejay, go to the Doc and get a full blood panel done. There is no need to mess around with potential health problems.

i would expect that ur probably allergic to some kind of sulfite's that are in whatever ur drinking,,, i have this prob also sometimes, and i am not on anything for about 4 months or so. It would be a good idea to follow biggies advice and get tests done though if u havent ever had this problem. Have u started drinking something new lately?
