am Cardio vs pm cardio

I don't appreciate your demeaning attitude.

Moreover, you aren't the oracle around here. You've got some strong opinions but that's pretty much all they are. All the points you made are debateable.

I perceive his comment about sweating to mean that he recommends higher intensity cardio for more effective fat burning. I agree.

I also agree that doing PM cardio may interfere with sleep. It has interfered with mine. I can say it just like that.

I also agree that doing am cardio may reduce the amount of energy available to lift weights later in the day. For this reason, I generally avoid am cardio on a day I'm going to train legs.

calm down big fella. Boss and I were actually joking about this in an earlier thread, hence the smiley at the end. I never said I was the oracle of anything. Trying to belittle my opinions on the internet won't make me run with my tail in between my legs. Sorry, being a MOD doesn't make me shutter in fear. Most of what i say should be taken with a grain of salt anyway, and most know that, cause like is said a million times a day, this is the fucking internet.

Beside, all of us have opinions, strong or not, and they're all debatable. Thats why its called a debate. Using the word 'perceive" to describe what he may have meant proves my point. How the fuck do you know what he 'meant'? You don't. Unless you're a mind-reader. Boss said nothing about high intensity cardio. He said, and I quote "you need to sweat buckets". Hell, i sweat buckets walking slow on a treadmill. I sweat buckets at night... when i sleep. Does that mean I'm doing high intensity cardio? Nope. So i say again, SWEATING alone has nothing to do with how much fat your burning. Either way, there OPINIONS... thats it. I don't care what yours are, and don't care if you care what mine are. All i care about is you respecting my ability to put them in text on this board. As I have always done with yours. Can I say some harsh shit to guys who say dumb shit? Damn straight. But i would expect the same from them if i said dumb shit. Again, its the internet... not the 7th grade.

Trevdog, I've always liked reading your posts. But plenty of your posts, along with everyone else's, can be questioned. Again, why these boards exist. Sorry I didn't make my tone a bit more smiley friendly. Its a moot point anyway cause me and Boss were just going around in a more smiley friendly thread earlier that day and having quite a bit of fun doing it.

But thanks for your input... it certainly adds to this debate quite well. :D :):wiggle::spin:

On MMA days that lat till about 9:30 at night, I cant sleep for shit. I come home, shower and eat and lay in bed for about 3 hours till I fall asleep. this Only happens on MMA days.

on training days that are done earlier in the day, im passed the fuck out by 8...

i can count 3 things that are wrong with this post. Ithink i politely asked you to stop giving advice when you don't what the fuck you are talking about.

1. Sweating has nothing to do with losing BF%. Some people don't sweat alot. I do. Does that mean I lose more BF than them? NO BF% loss has to do with heartrate.

2. If i do cardio at night, versus not doing it, i sleep like a bear. How can you say late jogging will make you stay up? You can't.

3. Morning cardio can be a refeshing start to your day and actually INCREASE energy levels for most throughout the rest of the day.

Please try and refrain from giving advice unless you know what your talking about.

OP- in my opinion, the difference is not a whole bunch so that most would notice. Most people think 10% is ripped, which it is pretty lean. If that means a competitor can get to 5-6% by doing AM cardio insteead of PM cardio, than by all means yes it is better. But you can still burn BF% efficeintly if you only do cardio in the evening. Even moreso if you do both. :D

Oh now I see what you were talkin about RJ

I definitely know what I'm talkin about. Been training for 15yrs.

I suppose everybody is different and reacts differently but for me an early morning jog makes me a bit more tired than usual during the day and a late night jog gets me pumped and ready to kill... but I am a night owl.

When I was talking about sweating I didnt mean the actual sweat. By sweating buckets I mean you have to work your ass off. The guys I train with sweat half as much as me but we do the exact same workout.

When it comes to training I know my shit. It's the juice part that I'm tryin to figure out.

Yeah!? Well you're an ass clown!:bootyshak:laugh3:

I try to do my cardio fasted in the AM as much as possible. Some days I'm just too sore and I have to take in breakfast before I can do it, as I feel like I'm about to pass the F out otherwise. But there's nothing like getting that cardio session in on an empty stomach and a sweaty ab flex in the mirror with an empty stomach!
