Am I in good enough shape to train?

Posting here because ironaddicts is down :( RIP Wes.

I am 18 years old, male, weighin at 189 pounds and at 12.5 percent bodyfat from calipers but look a lot like 15 percent.

I can run a 8:08 one mile. My emphasis is on weight training and dieting down to 8% body fat than get stronger.

I want to start doing cardio but I don't know how to work my cardio in without impacting my CNS and weights. I want to do 2-3 days a week - I lift 3 days a week. Please help.

The best way to incorporate cardio, if you're still wanting to put on LBM is to do 2-4 SLOW paced sessions a week. I like to do my cardio on the elliptical post workout for at least 45 minutes.

I'd recommend LIIT @ 45 minutes regardless of what you goals are.

Usually when I cut, I strictly focus on losing weight. I still lift heavy, but my lifts go down quite a bit. The best way to get that ripped look for my body anyways is to do 30 minutes of HIIT, prior to workout, super set my workout (pushs with pulls), and 30 minutes of LIIT at the end.

When I'm bulking I take out the HIIT and just do LIIT for 45 minutes to an hour.
