anavar question

I am considering trying out Anavar but I have never used anything before. I am 5'5" 129lbs, 21 years old and I train reg. and have a pretty good diet. I am worried about sides and wondering how this will help in terms of leaning out and building mass esp. in legs. Got any suggestions for me ladies?

Hey sweets! Welcome to 'ology!!

Theres lots of threads on anavar- you could do a search and get a pretty good idea on suggestions for use.. based on goals and such...

Firstly welcome to the board!:)
Next up, let me ask you a couple of questions. Have you used any other supplements before? How long have you been training?
If you can take a couple of minutes to answer these questions, then we'll get back to the Anavar question. Thanks hun! :)

Hey Fyre
I have only been training for a little over a year now. I do cardio three to four times a week and lift four to five times a week. (heavy weights) I have good genetics. I have never used anything before. My boyfriend got me into fitness and the lifestyle and now I want to achieve the best results possible! Never thought I would go this route but I was never really educated enough to make an informed decision until now. I could really use some feedback! Thanks so much!

Why would you decide to go with anabolics before trying any other supplements? I would suggest perhaps giving your body some more time to develop naturally before jumping into anabolics. I'm not trying to tell you what to do hun, I'm just saying that you aren't giving yourself enough time to reach your peak natural potential if you've only been training for a year.
Personally, I trained for 15 years clean before deciding that I wanted to try AS. But that's just me and again this is only my opinion.
If you want to try something that will help put on a little size and/or give you a kick in the gym, why don't you try a creatine blend such as Plasmavol. It is available here at the store.
Please remember that with the use of AS, there are side effects that may come along with them. Some of the side effects that you may experience are clitoral enlargement, deepening of the voice, acne, and increased facial hair. Not to say that you will experience them but they do come along with AS usage.
I will gladly answer any questions you have in regards to AS but I strongly suggest you think this out thoroughly before making the jump.
Am I making any sense to you hun?

That makes complete sense. Thank you for your imput. I thought that creatine didn't do much for women. I have always heard that it works primarily and best for men. I will def give it a try though. What are the benefits of Creatine for women? Also, if I do end up trying a cycle, I was looking really closely at Anavar. Do you think this would be a good choice when and if I make that jump? What are some of the benefits of Anavar and are the results really that noticable?

I just came off my Plasmavol and I made great gains. My strength went through the roof and I put about 6lbs on. It's excellent for recovery as well. If you do decide to give it a shot, I would suggest trying the Plasmavol as it's the best that I've used thus far. It tastes really yummy too! If you do decide to go with the Plasmavol, you simply take one serving before you train and then another serving after you train. On your off days from the gym, you can get away with just taking one serving instead of the two.
Okay, now in terms of whether Anavar would be the right AS to go with when you make the jump. Yes. Anavar is the safest AS for women in my opinion. Providing you don't take crazy dosages you will probably not experience any sides. My personal experience with anavar was a great one! lol...I didn't want to go off it! I got a lot stronger and definitely a lot harder. I don't think I put much size on with the Anavar (var) but I definitely got harder. At the beginning of my cycle I started with some Winstrol (winny) but I didn't like the oily skin and it really dried out my hair. I also started to have some problems with my joints. So, I went off the Winstrol (winny) and went to the Anavar (var). And I retained water on Winstrol (winny) too and that sucked!
So, yes, Anavar would be the one that I would go with if you decided to take the jump. Again, keep in mind, I've been training for 16 years and just this year did I take that step. So, I was very excited to see the results that I had got from it. I've given my body a lot of time to grow and develop naturally so it was kind of cool taking it to the next level. :)

Just one more note, the only reason I started with the Winstrol (winny) was because I didn't have access to any Anavar (var) at the time. I would definitely have just stuck with Anavar (var) from the beginning. :)

Thank you sooooo much for all of your help Fyre. I really appreciate it! I am going to start creatine tomorrow and wait a while longer before I start a cycle. I want to make sure my diet is perfect before doing anything and I am gonna kick up my weights a knotch. I work out with my bf who is huge so he keeps my driven. He has been training for 10 years so he keeps me in check. He is like a mean ass football coach in the gym!haha He agreed with your opinion too. So thanks again!

One more thing.... what is your favorite meal replacement brand? I have been using Myoplex but wanted to know if anything else is better for staying trim and not bulking up.

I'm not a big fan of Myoplex myself. It's far too thick in my opinion. They use a lot of thickeners in it and I find that I have trouble getting my next meal in. I myself use straight whey protein and make my own meal replacement. I use Sportlab's Whey. For example, my post workout shake will look like this. 2 scoops of vanilla sportlab whey, Orange Gatorade and some frozen peaches. Tastes just like a creamsickle. Another shake that I have often is my breakfast shake which consists of 2 scoops chocolate Sportlab Whey, 2 tablespoons natty peanut butter, some skim milk and a banana. Voila, my Chocolate Monkey meal replacement shake!! Yummy!
If you can't get Sportlab in your area, you should check out our online store here. The addy is http://www.directconnectnutrition.com/
Hope that helps hun! :)

I'm very happy that you decided to give the creatine a try first! :)
It's also awesome that you train with your boyfriend. Support is very important when we have direct goals in mind. Good luck with all your goals hun and please let me know if I can be of any more help.
Cheers,
Fyre :)

you best bet would be to watch your diet carefully, aiming not to hold much water for the photo shoot. your far too close to br changing things around now...imo.

then, after make the decision. first off, how long have you been training for? what are your goals? how is your diet/training. all this must be taken into consideration first!

btw, Welcome to Steroidology and good luck at the photo shoot!

been tarining for about 6 weeks ..but was already in shape went from traing 3 days a week to 7 ..I had to gain muscle weight and I also had my boobs redone so had to take off from traing in the middle of it.
I am a vegan...and have cut out most Carbs ..drink protien shakes 4 times a day and 2 days out of the 7 i train i work with a trainer.
I do an hour of cardio a day.
Its difficlut to try to gain muscle weight for me.
So thats why I was considering it..I have the 2.5 tabs and thought it might help me a little.

....thanks for the welcoming!!:D

what sort of training are you doing? IMO from what you have stated, it sounds as though you do not have a long enough background to be turning to AS.
if your having trouble gaining muscle, then you can easily change around your diet and training. an hour of cardio a day is NOT going to help produce any significant lean mass gains, it will actaully hinder it. it sounds as though you may be over training as well. 7 days with no rest is too much.. alot of stress on the body. your not giving proper time for your muscles to recoperate and grow! you grow out of the gym, not in it.
can you give us an exact example of your diet for a day..times, amounts etc. 4 shakes a day is overboard! I would not go beyond 2. whole food sources are much better choices, you body actaully works to digest food(thermogenesis!). you also need carbs in your diet to grow, good complex carbs that is. and plenty of fiberous veggies. do you get any form of EFAs? (essential fatty acids?). they are your friend, and very beneficial to your health and any diet! again, lets see a sample menu and perhaps a training schedule. it really sounds as though we could work on it from there..theres certainly no need to be going on AS as of yet!!
