Okay so today I went to my local Petsmart to pick up some dog food when I come across some fish meds that happen to be Antibiotics. A product called "Fish Fox Forte" is actually just pure Amoxicillin, and a product called Fish Flex Forte is simply Cephalexin. Both available over the counter as fish meds and both are antibiotics used by humans to treat infections. Every thread that I have read about someone getting an infection from an injection says that their doc prescribed them one of these antibiotics. I'm not saying you should rely entirely on fish meds to treat an infection should it arise, but in theory this should work as well and save the hassle of going to the doctor. Amoxicillin and Cephalexin are both common medicines used to treat infections which could be caused by needles.
Am I missing something? Would it be smart to stock up on a bottle of these in case one where to get infected and not able to go to the doctor right away?
Just a thought. I would feel safer taking these antibiotics than nothing at all.
Your thoughts?
