Anyone ever forget to wipe top of vial ? And get infection ?

That ever happen to anyone?
Proper procedure all the way through, except the top of the vial.
Just slipped my mind . Realized it when I was all done and putting back my vial in a lil ziplock bag.

All my other injections are good. Some pip. By 2nd to 3rd day post injection I'm pip free.

But just that one time I had a brain slip and bam infection. 4th day and still getting worse. I continued with an injection following cycle, and that one was already better 2nd day than the 5th day one.

Went to doc , and he said I got cellulitis. Gave me antibiotics and pain went down right away.

Symptoms were everything guys here said it was.
Not getting better was the first worry. Site got red and swollen, and was hot on contact!
It was go to docs for sure when my next injection healed better in 1 day than the old one in 5 .

That's my story. Anyone else?

i always kept my vials in my jacket pocket.. no one looked there, i never wiped the top, i just put the little cover back on even though it doesn't attach properly

I have forgotten before. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Always best keep sterile as much as you can but shit happens.

i never wipe....the vial that is lol but i switch needles everytime soo......

Probably has to do with keeping your vials in a ziplock as it would keep the bacteria in a sealed environment. Bad luck though, just reinforces proper technique I guess. I have never forgotten, but I'm a creature of habit and have a set pattern on inject days. Glad you got it taken care of though!

I never wipe the tops, i do switch needles though. 1 for pulling, 1 for the injection. i like razor sharp needles, i dont like needles that have been punched thru rubber stoppers..


For your question, i dont think its a problem . I think cleaning the injection area is the most important part.

either the night before so like sunday night or monday morning and same applies for tuesday night or wed morning

oh ok, ya im thinking morning is better. I am actually gonna start with a test e only cycle and and wondering if there is a amount of time to wait after pinning to go workout. Ive heard two hours, but maybe you know more.

doesn't matter i went about an hour later after pin in morning and was fine, depending on where you pin you do get a bit of discomfort but it goes away with time, the longer you wait after pin the less discomfort you'll have, like when i pin delts, doing weighted dips feels warm and uncomfortable...

go to your local pharmacy and get them to order you 100 needles, 25gx1 and you can pick up a few needle heads that are like 18g to draw, 100 needles of 25g costed me bout $20 canadian

OK. I just want to see if any knows what causes irritation that some report after pinning and especially those to claim to have sever swelling.

Unfortunately i have forgotten to swipe the vial a few times myself. Never had any problems. As long as you sterilize the injection site that is most important.
