Anyone had the regular E and sensitive E test done ....

At the same time?

I had blood work done 4 weeks ago and paid for the "hormone panel for males" out of pocket .... it includes the sensitive test. I am wanting to go get blood drawn again and was wondering about the female panel simply because of cost.

Pinning 60mg of test c twice a week my baselines were TT 769, Free T 31.45, E sensitive 34 ..... I added 500iu's of HCG per week and added 10mg to my test injection for a total of 70mg per injection.

My question is what good will these baseline numbers (the sensitive E) do for me if I switch and have the more economical female panel done that only includes the regular E test?

My Dr was unwilling to prescribe arimidex without first referring me to an endo and since it did not seem to hard a task to just obtain some on my own I told her that is what I would do .... and she had no problem with it.

No obvious "E" signs but with the last test being 34 I would suspect chances are better than a coin toss that I will be even higher yet and that the arimidex might be necessary.

Overall well being is pretty good ... still tired from time to time but nothing like before TRT. Morning wood is not consistent and never "hard". Libido has never really been an issue and neither has rising for the performance.

Anyway ... thoughts on regular vs sensitive and how a baseline of the sensitive might compare to the regular going forward?

Many people say you can get by with the non-sensitive, convert it or fine your base level of E and go with the average non sensitive. Well whatever... For me my E2 is so sensitive up and down w/sides I only get a sensitive assay.

My thinking is why guess or say this will do and I can ? I myself like to be MORE accurate w/my E2. I have had way high and had experience crashing. NOT GOOD either way. Good luck man

Obviously, getting the sensitive assay is better -- especially when you are at the lower end of twh E2 spectrum.

The general rule of thumb is that the regular assay for estradiol comes in about 10-20 points higher. But there is no guarantee that is the case for you.

Where it really become tricky is when you get the regular assay and it comes in at 55 for example. What do you do? Is it really at 35 or is it really at 45? 35 is just about perfect. 45 is fine for some guys and a little high for others. If you can swing it, it would be good to get the Female Hormone Panel and add in the Sensitive E2 Assay as well. Pay the extra money and see how far apart they are for you. Then you can hopefully continue to just get the Regular Assay and adjust it.

Well.... the generic arimidex showed up today and man are they tiny lil things. Hard to believe that a 1/4 of one of them every few days will take care of many problems.

Anyway, I decided to just get the male panel again instead of trying to save a buck and guessing.

I'd be careful with that arimidex. You dont have a lot of experience with it. You could easily dip your Estradiol too low and feel miserable. Do you have an idea of how you would dose it?

U said Libido has never really been an issue nor was rising. Are u talking bout Pre TRT and presently ?
What was your T before going on TRT?

I don't plan to use it unless blood shows I need it. Dosage and schedule will/would depend on what my levels come back as.

Considering I was not prescribed it the process to get it took about 2 weeks..... I wanted it on hand just in case I needed it.

Pre trt test level was under 300. Libido is not and has never been an issue for me.
