Just curious To my understanding, they take hair from the back of your scalp, which are follicles that aren't sensitive to DHT (cause of MPB) and move it to the top of your scalp. Are you then immune to shedding from steroid use?

No. You can still lose it. That is why they recommend taking propecia after the procedure. But everybody is different I guess. I decided to hold off because I wasn't ready to be on propecia for life. That is the way the doc explained it to me

Hair Transplant surgery is very safe and latest technique for the treatment of baldness. In hair transplant surgery hair take from the donor area of the head transplanted on the bald area where hair need to be grow. But once you had your transplanted the hair will not grow immediatly it will take some months to grow back.
Hair loss is not caused due to a single reason. The treatment is different for the different reasons and yes you can take propecia for dht hair loss. But always take medication under the guidance of experts.

Your best bet is waiting for some advancement in stem cell research/gene therapy that will go mainstream. I'm sure there will be a cure within a decade or so.

It's a generic answer but mpb is so genetic. If you have great genes for keeping hair you probably won't ever lose it but if you have bald pattern genes you are even more likely to go bald. Aas will probably just increase how quickly it happens.
