Arm measurement cold flexed

17.5 cold flex

i, like you, have longer arms and 17.5 doesn;t look very impressive to me. another inch would be great.

boys I've seen well developed nicely shaped arms that looked like they were easily 20 inch, and they weren't even quite 18's, so I wouldn't worry about the tape too much.

lol so have I.... but I'm also in post-op for my 2nd elbow operation...

Those are two exercises that my ex-Olympic coach said NEVER to go heavy in!

Yes, the tricep can handle it... No, the tricep tendon can't!

I learned that one the hard way... D'oh!

Staying out of the topic though. I remember last time this was posted, and even though I still have only about 15 or pounds to lose - don't want to be called out for "fatceps". :p

Didn't know this!!! I wonder if this is why my tendinitis is lingering on and on.
Incline skull crushers actually work the top of my triceps better I think.
BB, were u talking about dumbell ext or dumbell pullovers being hard on the tricep tendon ??

Dumbell extensions and skullcrushers...
Fine on the contraction, but at the end of the extension, you are holding one heavy-ass weight on your joint alone, at it's furthest point...

One arthroscopy to remove debris, and one distal triceps repair later and I've learnt the hard way!

Couldn't agree with this more!!

I'd rather a lean 17" than a fat 20" ;)

Hahaha... we call them bingo wings here in the UK... no idea why though :laugh4:

actually bro I haven't been to the games in New England. I'm in New Brunswick canada, which borders on Maine, so I have competed in Maine and a couple of other events in the USA. competed in a place called Topsham outside of Brunswick Maine recently, and I'm competing in California next month.
is that a big event in New England?

Where in Cali?

Oh yeah, I have 18.5" cold flexed.

looks like 18 1/2 cold flex.... 51yrs old 210lbs.... Hitting heavy tricep is key to getting the most size and balance...there is nothing like close grip bench.

agreed on the close grip bench, but you need another exercise to shape those monsters. :)
