arm size everyone cold flexed

i think his point was that you cant brag about having big arms if your bodyfat is also high.

"I fucking hate fate dudes that think they are big..." is a hell of a lot different than "Having a higher body fat percentage and bloat can greatly affect the circumference of the upper arm and should be taken into account"

Hey, I just dont get why we cant all get along in the weight training world. Me are a minority as is. Seems a little odd that a Mod would be the one to start the callout when just last week it was announced that any attacks would result in a ban.

It just comes down to the fact that many strength athletes are insecure about their body fat percentage and feel the need to attack bodybuilders, and bodybuilders are insecure about being weak and need to attack power lifters.

We should all come together and hate the new years resolution, and spring break fuck ups that waste our space for 2 months out of the year.
I respect both sides as I've been on both sides of the fence. I certainly wouldn't tell a power lifter that he's a fatty. Guys that are shredded have my respect as do the monsters that put up godlike weight on that bar. I also haven't seen any bragging in this thread either. If folks took my tongue in cheek post as bragging, they need to look into their own insecurities instead of calling others out. Simple as that. ;)

The only people I see in here bragging about arm size are the 'bodybuilders', NOT the powerlifters and football players

I haven't really seen any bragging in this thread, just folks replying to the OP really. But given the nature of both power lifting and bodybuilding, I do think there is a measure of pride and vanity at play. Then again, this is the internet - so we all have monster guns and 8 pack abs...right? :spin:

Dangit, I've deleted my comments four times now as I can't think of the perfect way to tie this post off, so I'll just say:

Everyone's Different~

Hah. I feel better now. We all have our own goals and should respect the goals of others.

Speak the truth

i dunno about comments about fat guys.. i like to sit at 15% myself... i go as high as 25% for a powerlifting meet...

getting to sub 10% bodyfat is overrated for me.. im married.. my wife loves me the way i am.. and i'd much rather sit in the 1500 club then have a six pack year round.. lol

but when you know how to manipulate your diet and training.. its easy to cut for the summer and be a fatty in the winter :D

Damn this thread got interesting! Guys who are powerlifters with high bodyfat and big arms cool. Guys who are not powerlifters but fat short meatballs who have big arms I could give a shit about. They don't earn my respect.

Quoted so it cannot be removed. See! Even the master of diet manipulation himself understands the necessity to embrace a higher bodyfat percentage for maximal strength output. I have been in the cage before and at sub 8% for two years of my life. I know what it is like to be down there. I know what it takes to get my body down there. I also know that my strength drops drastically in the deficit it takes to get down there.

Just another example of how training for a certain sport or aspect of something changes the way your body is programmed.

I am down to 285 right now and 4 inches down in my waist with no strength loss from where i was at 305. Somewhere around 18% BF. Which brings yet another thing into the equation: The amount of drugs you are willing to abuse to maintain your strength.

nobody is bragging.

and im just guessing cuz obviously im not him, but i think he meant it in the context that a lot of fat guys go around acting like they are big(muscular) but in reality are just big with a lot of bodyfat. maybe im off base and he actually just hates fat powerlifters, im sure he will elaborate on the comment lol

I respect all sports. What annoys me more is guys curling in the squat rack. Lol. I think Dialtone meant those cocky fat dudes at the gym with tap out shirts who are fat and not strong. Then again what do I know. Haha.

i doubt dialtone was talking about true powerlifters..

i think he's talking about the guy that just started lifting 4 months ago and thinks his 30% bodyfat arms are big.. lol

17.75 left, 17.5 right...and I'm not a southpaw go figure.
My callipers claim 10% bf but I feel like 12 is more likely; 6' @ 210

Well said brethren

Powerlifter in the 220 class. 17.75 inch upper arm. 14.75 inch forearm.

Shitty quality, but I had to crop out a bunch of inexplicably weird things in the background...and I am wearing groove briefs so I didn't want any daisy duke jokes. Assuming the picture showed up...

But I will do anything to increase my lifts--if you told me that if I made my arms look like honey boo-boo's mother's neck, I could bench 50 more lbs...I would start eatin' sketti. I would never sacrifice my lifts for abs.

I hate fat guys period in my gym, they do the same routine, working biceps everyday then they throw the weight or stand next to somebody that is half ass fit and compete with lifting or curling heavy ass weight with shit form, and I asked this question pink to get an average idea what everyone arm size is not talking about squats

Why don't you man up and tell those fat guys what you think face to face? I'd pound your scrawny ass into the ground if you said that to my face in the gym.

And another thing bro, I'd bet that those fat guys pulling all that weight that you wish you could are doing it natty, not juiced. "How big are your arms?" Sounds like some Jersey boys douchery.

5'0, 35" arms cold and unflexed, .5% BF, 1 ton bench, 4 ton deadlift, 10 ton squat and I have an 80" cock. Do I win the internet stats thread?

Lot's of butthurt in this thread. Who gives a fuck about fuck.

Pffft, must be those roids. I was doing that natty.

80" is pretty impressive. Can you say baseketball? :D

I love you Cap. YES HOMO.

I personally have respect for anybody who go's in the gym and tries to better their physique. I think that when it comes to bicep size and comparisons that it is pointless to compare guys competing in two different sports. Some one bodybuilding vs some one powerlifting is a unfair competition. Simply just because the body builders are all loaded up with synthol ha ha ha ha ha just kidding. But it is probably true. I honestly think the power lifters seem cooler than most the body builders I meet. Most body builders are vein and cocky ass holes who all claim to be natural. I am in to bodybuilding myself but I have never met a bodybuilder in real life that I would enjoy hanging out with. Most the cool people I meet at the gym are just regular guys.

If some one can get their ass in the gym every day and try to better them self's I cant hate on them. And I understand what dial tone meant. I don't think he was discriminating against any group of people . I think he meant it from a bodybuilding aspect. And like I said you cant compare guys from two different sports the goal in each sport is different. So the physique will be different. And the majority of guys on here are interested in bodybuilding and having low body fat percentages. So I think he was speaking to the body builders. He seems like a cool guy I don't think he meant any thing negative about power lifters or foot ball players.
