arms question

7 wks off (broken elbow!)
OK i have decent body comp. I am 5'9" and 185 now after cutting down from 210. My arms are a good size at 17". I want to put more size on them tho because I think they are lagging compared to the rest of my body. Im not one of those guys who just works out arms and chest...lol. My body is up to par but i think my arms need a lil help since they have been about 17"-17.5" for a while now. What do you do to shock your arms into growing....thanks.

oh and btw....my diet is fine, so dont worry about giving me diet advice. I dont really need diet advice, but new training ideas. Hince the "training forum" :)

we all need diet advice lol but i hear what your saying .
1st off 90% of all people are referring to biceps when they talk about arm size or their guns but the fact is most of overall arm size comes from triceps . for triceps reverse grip bench press , close grip bench press and skull crushers all done as heavy as possible in a lower rep range say 4-8 reps are real mass builders . for biceps heavy barbell curls and cambered bar curls are my choice . all these excercises can be done with much heavier weight than a "isolation" type excercise such as tricep kickbacks or concentration curls and lifting heavy adds mass PERIOD imo .

Yeah dont your tris take up 2/3 of the arm. I mean my triceps are good, but they are up real high....white man tris lol.

Here, i should have given you guys my routine so you could adjust that.

I try to not do too many sets for the bis and tris since they are smaller. Normally I do either 2 workouts @ 3x8 or 3 workouts @ 2x8. lifting heavy.

But i normally do...
Triceps
1. skull crushers
2. pressdowns/reverse 1 arm pressdown
3. kickbacks or overhead extensions

biceps
1. seated db curls
2. incline db curls
3. hammer curls or lying cable curls. (put the bar above you and lay on your back and pull down towards head for the lying cable curls.)

also my bis and tris are split with chest and back if that changes much at all.
