what up bros? so ive been watching my diet more carefully than ever. i just started a nice cycle of tprop/test e/eq & will finish off with var. im trying to put on as much lean mass as possible. with that said i havent been eating late at night much other than cottage cheese, maybe yogurt and sometimes fruit.

there are nights where i wake up at 3am or some where im still not sleeping at 2am and get real hungry. they say youre not supposed to eat late at night to avoid putting on fat but at what point does late become early for the next day?? for example 5am would be an early breakfast. but is 2 or 3 am still considered late or is that an early breakfast that wouldnt lead to the fatty gains?? weird ? but i always wondered at what point does late become early and then acceptable to start the days protein intake??

there is no such point. you don't get fat from eating late.

not eating late is a good way to control your calorie intake since you don't really need to eat alot of energy just to go to sleep.

if your overall calories are right then you wont gain from eating at night.

"They" say alot of different things.

If you're hungry at night have a protein shake and some fibrous veggies to fill you.

Having that late night shake and veggies are beneficial. The veggies help thermogenesis.....using your metabolism to digest them so it gets it working which will make it more efficient to fight fat.

The shake will help retain yoru muscles and 100-150 calorie shake is not going to cause you to get fat.

LOL I like that.... who is "they" anyway right haha...

thanks for your response. My calories are definitely on point Im clearing 3500-4500 easily, sometimes more so thats not my concern. I have no problem eating, Im just transitioning from a bulking cycle (3 months ago) to another bulk (technically) but I want the gains to be as clean as possible this time. (ie no belly fat, no bloat, nice vascularity....)

So eating at night, "snacking" is a no no?
I heard that anything after 7 is not good.

What if I am trying to reach my 3000 cal mark, and i wake up at 3 in the afternoon?

(I hope my question doesnt hi-jack the thread.)

Wrong....eating at night and snacking are fine. If you are trying to lose fat eat less. If you are trying to gain muscle eat more food.

Does not matter when you eat.

just avoid eating anything sugarie late at night(maybe your yogurt, depending on what kind).....eating sugar before bed can lower your natural HGH production.
