Bench help

Hey guys, I'm a little lost, you could say with my benching. Here is the problem. I can bench 225 for 10-12 reps, which means that my one rep max should be around 300-310 if im not mistaken. However, my max bench is only 280 on as great day I might add. Its usually around 275. What is the deal here, and do you have any suggestions on how I might break the 300 mark. Im 185lbs, at 12-15% Bf, so Im quite sure that should be pressing more than 280.
 
yes i agree try to start out next time maybe 235 for 6-8 sets and steadily increase your self maybe 5lbs a week and see if your muscles can keep up
 
How old are you? I'm not so sure you "should" be benching more than that. You're benching more than 100lbs than your body weight.

But like everyone else said, start doing heavier weight for fewer reps.
 
You have to get your CNS adjusted to heavy weights. Some people though have higher/lower amounts of one fiber type versus another, so max calculators are very accurate for some but not for others.
