Keto does not protect muscles regardless of everything else! You need protein. You can eat literally zero carbs (not even fiber) and achieve a perfect ketogenic state and you will absolutely lose muscle without consuming sufficient protein. Now you are just making up stupid shit that is going to get someone hurt.

I love the ketogenic diet and advocate for it when it applies to someone's circumstances. So don't take this to mean that I am anti-keto. What I am against is your constantly giving out horrible advice. I don't want to have to ban you because we appreciate good dialogue here, but you are menacingly dangerous. This is akin to telling people they can't get pregnant the first time they have sexual intercourse or if they do it doggy style.
 
I accomplish the same thing with high carb low fat diet. If you consume low glycemic carbs and ratio it correctly it takes your body longer to break down and digest the carbs that create the initial insulin response to store fat. I get weak on keto so i don't even try it. Controlling insulin for fat loss I actively use that approach myself.

So if I consumed my body weight in protein witch is 215ibs, that many grams of protein will keep me out of ketosis? ? I feel like I would be loosing alot of muscle at 150g max of protein.

correct, you would prpbably be kicked out of keto. in keto the high fats protect the muscles so you can get away with MUCH less protein, i am 97kg and on n120grams of protein, for months, trust me no muscle loss

The original keto diet was NOT designed for fat loss - it was designed to treat epilepsy THAT is why it was close to 90% fat.

Fat does NOTHING to protect your muscles, literally nothing - on the diet you suggest all your going to end up doing is sacrificing muscle, its completely idiotic.

Casually sipping my glass of apple cider water eating my chicken breast on wheat with a slice of fat free cheese with pickle slices.

All i'ma say is insulin isn't bad, if it bottoms out other hormones raise and you can still gain fat, avoiding (rapid large) insulin spikes will cause fat loss. That's why people drink apple cider or take cinnamon or other insulin mimicing supplements before meals, it avoids a quick spike shuffling more then nutrients then needed causing fat gain. As far as yalls fat to protien convo...I don't know a lot about keto..didn't study it alot because I've ran it twice and I felt absolutely horrible.

I've read keto kicks off much faster at fat loss but after a while it stalls quickly and a high carb low fat group caught up and then surpassed them in fat loss after a few months. That's when I tried it twice... IMO I didn't like the choice of foods. Meat and cheese and fish and limited nuts. I did like how you're never holding water weight on it, I stayed dry while on it.

most people cannot handle carbs and then insulin matters big time, some can and can get lean on 700carbs a day. but most cannot
 
Controlling insulin is not that easy. I took a weight management program from Texan Urgent Care. It helped me lose weight to a great extent.
 
So I understand then that the Tim Ferris diet would meet the once a week high carbs intake to upregulate leptin.
