biceps the day after back

Its a Celebration Bitches
Somewhere here, i read that it was the correct way to work your biceps out.

If that is correct, what kind of volume should i be focusing on??? Usually my arms are pretty shot after all the rows i did the day before

Its no more correct than incorrect. Depends on what your back day consists of, your gentics and recovery ability, your specific training regime etc etc etc etc etc. If you hitting back hard, your bi's are getting plenty of work. Id never be able to hit Bi's after back day, my forearms lock up all day long after I hit back hard.

I'd never do bi's right after back day. PERIOD. Mine get hit hard as hell on back day. Thats enough. A few days later I might THINK of it, but usually let them rest up.

I think daan69 misunderstood what someone meant by "work biceps after back". Nobody's telling you to work biceps the DAY after back, just to work them on the same day you work your back, but after you've done all your back exercises

Working a muscle group 2 days in a row isn't usually a good idea

9 out of 10 people will think that doing 10-20 sets of niceps will get them to grow..wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!

there is no correct or incorrect way only what works for you..but most will do much better hitting biceps in the same workout as back..heavy back work will hit the bi's the only thing that is really needed is a few sets of some type of fairly heavy (8-15 reps) direct bicep work..yes 15 reps can be considered "heavy"

Most guys that want big guns dont have a clue as to how to properly even isoalte the bis when doing curls but hell they are all curling 150+

i hit lats almost every workout sometimes light sometimes a little heavier but for only 2-5 sets..i am just starting to get back inot hitting the biceps do to tendonitis and i plan on hitting them 2x per week ill do a few warmup sets then bang out 1-3 sets of 8-20 reps..although my curling strength is way down my size isnt and it lietrally takes about10-15 mins to do bi's

yup.... i remember reading this thread a while ago and totally misinterpreted what IA was talking about...

ive always trained back and bis on seperate days.... because i like to superset bis and tris, i do not do insane volume with it though.
