blacked out

in the past..I get hot flashes after every heavy reps...learned that you have to have enough protein before wrking out...

After squat sets I usually go almost completely def, and I see stars for a minute or two. I guess Ive come close to blacking out - for me its usually the result of temporarily HIGH bp from holding your breath during your sets. Sound familiar?

yesterday at the gym i blacked out...it was a really bad experience lol

it'll be even worse experience when you have an aneurism in your head from holding your breath like my buddy did. I'd work on the breathing a bit

I get similar symptoms, sometimes can't hear sometimes a short ringing. Also see stars and light headed.

although ive never blacked out before I often see stars and sometimes have to lean on something after squats, deadlifts, and especially powercleans. what were you doing that made you blackout, was it during a set or after? how far were you into your workout? what kind of supplements are you on?

Seeing stars and immediately sucking air in to prevent crashing head first into the floor is a regular occurrence for me. Whoever said breathing was an involuntary action never lifted heavy enough... :insane2:

kind of reminds me of that part in pumping iron when arnold is like "do one more set! go!go!, " the dude does a all out balls to the wall push, then passes out, and arnie just points and starts laughing at his buddy all fucked off on the ground.....

puked a bunch . . . never blacked out. now i've got something to shoot for. thanx!

Blacking out is extreme, but feeling on the edge of blacking out is common after a set of really intense squats. Many people vomit after squats and I have had to sit down because I thought I was going to faint. It is usually because you just can't get enough oxygen when you work out with that much intensity. Remember to breathe deep when squatting.
