Not Novice, But Not Pro
Recently I had an increase in T dose which is going great. But I tried to donate blood just to be safe.
Because I do not use the same amount of insulin daily, I do not qualify because "this shows my blood sugars are not stable' according to the Canadian Blood Services. As any diabetic on insulin would know, daily insulin requirements vary according to how many carbs digested. I could easily take the same insulin dose daily, but my blood sugars would not be stable or controlled. So this is just a heads up for other diabetics trying to donate blood. You daily insulin intake cannot vary by more than two units per day over a 30 day period.
The world is full of nonsense.
