Blood Test Results.................

Got my new blood work labs in from this week's test. T levels here are measured in nmol/L and pmol/L.

Total T: 291 ng/dl (10.1 nmol/L)
Free T: 26 pmol/L (range:31-94 pmol/L)
LH: 3 IU/L (range:2-9 IU/L)
FSH: 2 IU/L (range:2-12 IU/L)
Estradiol: 75 pmol/L (<157 pmol/L)
Prolactin: 5 (<18 ug/L)

Been off testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 15 months and levels for Total T have not gone more than 383 ng/dl....and that was at their highest in Jan 2013.
Doc respects the study I gave him on paper with the use of clomid 50 mg/3 times per week....
he is starting to take me very seriously now...seeing as I cannot drop weight easy and eating clean and exercising 6-7 times a week!
He wants the Endo to prescribe it though....he is very careful.....he takes no risks. He said clomid has not been approved by the FDA in Men so he must tread carefully or he could get in trouble or worse harm me. But he respects the study I gave him...saying it is a respected reporting of Tests e.t.c. by the mayo clinic.
He said he will call another Endo Monday that will get me a quicker appointment.
Looks like a fire has been lit under him...he looked different this time around....he took the "low" free T test seriously.

Last Set 2012 I was 275 pounds 3 months after stopping T shots....now I'm 292 lbs and have gained it all in the mid section.
Came down 3 pounds in 5 weeks...big deal! been training my ass off.

out of curiosity, what is your reason for stopping you TRT?

He told me to stop it saying we found a major culprit that was bringing you down all these years (sleep apnea)....
see how you do without T shots. I was originally in 582-663 ng/dl of Total T when I first went to a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic.
I found that doc. He did not refer me to the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic.
I wanted to see what my body could do on its own. I wan on 180 mg/week of T for 2.5 years.....

I been on 0.25 mg of Adex E3D since being clean which keeps E2 in check....
have scripts of it from the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc.
I've seen my E2 sore to 200 pmol/L while natty....
so this helps....but it is not freeing up more T or making more Total T

Have you had an MRI?

Very likely being on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 2.5 years has screwed my levels up. I do feel my body is trying to fight back though.
My B12 is over the range for the lab....
Bad cholesterol to Good cholesterol is 3:1 he said....he said not good.
How do I fix this?

You T was naturally 582 - 663 before starting TRT?

Yup!........and that was a year off my first and ONLY cycle.
Don't even bother going there...............I'm pissed off about it too!
TRT doc was and is a slob!
The testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc could have done a better job from the start. He just gave me scripts....
I had symptoms and they were mostly from Very severe sleep apnea that was undiagnosed at the time.

Oh okay I see, well sorry to hear about all of this. Best of luck my friend!

Yeah I'm not a fan of this doctor. No sense really bothering with anything until you find a qualified doc. You need an mri, regardless of what he says.

You have secondary hypogonadism. You need to either try a restart (which may or may not work) or get on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). If your doc won't give you clomid just get it yourself -- in the case you want to try a restart.

And stop taking the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) alone. Taking it with test to stop aromatization is OK, but don't take it as a "mono-therapy" for 2.5+ years.

Getting an MRI wouldn't hurt. Pituitary tumors do not always cause high prolactin.

That clomid study you posted a link too a while back, he respects and is reading it and highlighting it...
he said the institution that did this study is top notch and highly respected.

Well yeah, he should appreciate the study. Problem is you've been dealing with this it seems forever. It does not take that long to find the cause.

He is ready to write the script for Clomid. But he has slight reservations. He is leaning towards the Endo writing it....he feels more comfortable with what ever he prescribes he said. I think he is looking to cover himself from any liability.
He said: "you want me to be very careful, lets say you get breast cancer....wouldn't you want me to be sure what I give before the damage happens"?
I told him clomid is a restart medication...he agrees.
He told me to do a PSA study before going on clomid so he knows what my PSA is and after clomid therapy to do another PSA test. He read the study where clomid was found to elevate PSA....so he wants to tread carefully he said.
He still did not write anything. This is the second appointment in a row with no scripts of anything.
He said he will ask the endo what he thinks when he calls a new one on Monday....
Seems he is reluctant.

All the articles I took him with Low T matters...he disregarded. In regards to that study you posted up here he said:
"This, this is what I want to go by, these people are highly respected, to get in here is not easy"(in the clinic to do a study he was referring) e.t.c.

Good. Im glad he is opening up.

I just don't think he has dealt with clomid before for men...he said so. He seemed nervous. But he said this study is promising and is good fit for me. He said you would need to stay on it for 3-6 months...
Ever since coming off T shots....man do you gain weight. I'm controlling now with exercise and strict diet....
but when you are on TRT...you can not argue that the metabolism is that much faster burning calories....
