I posted on a previous post that i was getting blood work done. Im a 42 year old Male. I used AAS once when i was 30. Was thinking of doing another cycle,, however my BF% is a little high, so i have been trying for ages to loose weight.

I got the results today. Walked out of the DR surgery with a script for Testogel to get me through until he gets back from holiday. The we are going to discuss other options. So now i need to become an expert on TRT. Blood Work results are as follows;

TRT for sure :(

He scrippted me up for some TestoGel and said we will discuss injections in a couple of weeks.
Should i be so quick to jump on the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) program? Is there any other option?

Im going to have to become an expert on TRT... and fast.

Your levels are definitely low but advice can't really be offered up since your tests don't show LH and FSH. Do you have these values?

FSH 3 U/L (2-12)
LH 1 U/L (2-9)
OESTRADIOL 73 PMOL/l (28-156)

LH/FSH Ratio 0.33

I think they are on the 5th pic i posted.
Why is the Creatinene level high? 117 umol/L (60-110)

It would seem like you're secondary hypogonadal. This is sometimes treatable with a restart. At 42yo it's your choice whether you go on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or attempt a restart. The likelihood of the restart working and giving you significant test levels isn't very likely which is why from your post it seems like your doctor wants to get you on a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocol. I would seriously consider testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at your age and levels but it's a personal choice you'll have to make.

I also have liver and thyroid results... i got a complete blood work.

Now researching if this will affect my fertility... DR didn't sound too convincing when i asked him.

A restart would mean attempting a PCT?

Im ok with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), but would like to have kids some day.. My wife is only 25 and im sure she wants to have kids.

Its strange that the only side affect i have noticed is that i can not loose weight...I guess i feel a little tired but i put this down to being a night shift worker.

I'm on my phone and the pics were bunged up under knew other so I missed a couple, sorry brother.

Fertility can be affected but is usually pretty resilient. Options would be to save sperm at a dorm bank or get on HMG to keep FSH elevated.

By your TSH value for thyroid your hypothyroid. AACE has changed their recommendations to .3-3.5 but not all labs, esp in the great down under, have updated or changed their ranges. I would get a full thyroid panel to check where the problem lies but it's another thing to look into.

Creatinine is used partly as a measure of kidney function. High creatinine levels could be caused by dehydration, excessive protein intake, kidney disease, diabetes, etc. it's possible you were dehydrated when tested. Your liver values look great

Correct, a serm treatment with clomid and/or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and Aromatase inhibitor (AI) is an option for a restart.

I have all on hand, Might be worth giving it a shot before i start using this Testo gel stuff. Ill opt for injections.

As a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) patient, how often do they take bloods? I have a few vials of test at home and, well i don't have too much to loose now, so may as well start a cycle in the not too distant future.

However, dont want the Dr to think im abusing the meds he is giving me...

Are there many testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) Patients that cycle?

Appreciate your advice Dre..... this news today has kind of knocked me for a six... Hard to focus on much at the moment...

Not a problem WhiteDog. It's not the end of the world brother so don't let it get to you too much. You do have treatment options, it's not like you're out of options.

You'd be getting pretty frequent bloodwork in the beginning of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to monitor and stabilize levels of various hormones. You don't want to clue the doctor in on you cycling so if you do do a cycle now Mae sure to give it at least a month before going back for more blood tests after cycle completion. Many people do blast and cruise (cycle to TRT) so it is an option once your testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocol has been dialed in and blood tests come once or twice a year.

Thanks my man, I guess even the gel would probably make a huge difference to how i feel, considering i have been bordering on the Test levels of a 12 year old girl..

Just be careful with the gels and comin into contact with females or children, one of the reasons some people much prefer injections.

Yes i did mention this to my DR. He is heading off on Holidays, so just put me on these until he gets back, then we will discuss injections.
My girl is a nurse so she can pin me to save me the trouble... Not sure how that works, if they normally send you home with the Test, or if the DR makes you come in and he does it. I did mention to him that my wife was a nurse.

Ahhh this is all taking a while to sink in... How could my guys let me down like this? hahahah...
Just praying the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) does not open up any other cans of worms or complications. Im hoping from here on end ill shed the weight i want, lower my cholesterol, and feel alot more motivated.
A new beginning, I always think of Sylvester Stallone when he got caught trying to bring Test and HGH into Australia, he said "every person over the age of 40 should be on Test" :)
He still looks good today at the age of 65...
Im hoping this treatment will be of a huge benefit to my overall health and well being.
This forum has certainly helped me out alot... More information and support then i could get from anywhere else.

Honestly the gel doesn't always make you feel better, even if it elevates TT levels slightly. More often than not Gel, if it is one of the low concentrations less than 2%, will make your testosterone levels go down.

Then on top of that you have to worry about rubbing it on someone else, like the above poster mentioned.

Then you still have to deal with absorption rate variables, meaning you will not actually get the same amount each time it is applied.

Most people do not like the gels, at least most people I know.

Yer im not keen on it, but like i said my doc just put me on it as he was literally on his way out the door to go on holidays..He is all for one i can inject, and stated i would only need to worry about it once every couple of weeks, rather then every day. Ill be seeing him about it in a few weeks and he said to book a double appointment so we can discuss it.

Im actually quite lucky i have a good Doctor who is suportive of the treatment. Here in Australia they assume everyone just wants to Juice up and work out.

For sure, if you found the right doc there, I would set up a network for him and show others how to get on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) :) I always see guys from Australia have a hard time getting help. Would be a great business to get into there.

Yep.. well ill be floating around on this forum and willing to pass on any on my knowledge to others, as others have do to me.
